I definitely am going to get this game this year. I've waited on getting it til now, but this certainly seems like the year to finally invest in a good baseball game. Definitely excited to see how the Move compatible version of the game plays. If that is fun, it will be a nice boost to an already great baseball game.

I have bought it every year since i got my ps3, last year the only thing you could do with the move in the game was HR Derby. I hope they expand on it this year. It wasn't the best move experience i have had but i am hopeful a whole year to work on it they get it right.

Hopefully they do some career path tweaking in RTTS. Seemed kinda pointless to let you pick what team you go to in the beginning, only to be traded eventually. I think it's predetermined if you get traded the moment you start your RTTS. I was a 2B in the Cardinals org, made it to about July batting like .290 with 4 HR's and was traded to the Braves. I didn't want to be on the Braves so I loaded up a save file that was a month prior to the trade. This time around I batted .330 with 10 HR's and was traded to the Braves again on the same exact day I was traded last time.

I did 5 different RTTS's last year.

1. SP- Rangers (traded halfway through 1st season)-> traded to Orioles (won Cy Young)-> traded to Cubs-> traded to Phillies->still playing
2. OF- Cardinals (traded halfway through 1st season)-> traded to Nationals-> traded to Marlins->quit because I couldn't get traded where I wanted and wanted to move to 1B
3. 2B- Cardinals (traded halfway through first season)-> traded to Braves-> just quit playing
4. 1B- Red Sox (traded halfway through first season)-> traded to Angels and made it to majors right away->still playing, dude hits a HR nearly every at bat
5. Closer- Rangers (traded halfway through first season)-> traded to Mets-> not really playing much because the minor league manager uses me for like 3-4 innings every day of the week. Stupid.

I hit 400 with 40hrs at the trade deadline while playing 2B and was traded. I dont think any team would trade a spect who put up those numbers.

I did have a backup file and went back and didnt get traded and now in the year 2020 all my years with the Cubs. Bout to start breaking records.

I would suggest having a back up file.

I have always wondered why they dont put the real minor leaguers in the game and update them when they sign with the team after the draft. They are pro players I would think they have the rights and if they dont they could be attained cheap. Anyone understand why they dont have all the minor leaguers in the game?? I hate waiting a few weeks for someone to make a decent one. Are 2k and SECA just lazy and dont want to do it?? I dont know it doesnt make sense IMO.

I thought it was something to do with being a part of the MLBPA. Gotta have a major league contract.

got this off the MLBPA website:

Q: Who is eligible for membership in the Association?
A: All players, managers, coaches and trainers who hold a signed contract with a Major League club are eligible for membership in the Association. In collective bargaining, the Association represents around 1,200 players, or the number of players on each club's 40-man roster, in addition to any players on the disabled list.

I just figured they are pro players they should be allowed to be in the game. Maybe they need to pay to get the rights of Milb players. It would be a smart move IMO especially for 2k since the game is pretty bad.

I never purchased last year's version, but I borrowed it from a buddy for a few weeks. A review I read on the game said that you are capable of playing an entire game with the move which was sort of the tipping point for me to get it this year.

Does anyone know if they will actually have real triple a stadiums this year? I have been waiting for a baseball game to go to that level. I mean if college football can get 100+ stadiums done correctly, why cant baseball do 80 something? The 30 in the pros now with a couple of the legendary stadiums and the triple a ones?

Won't be buying because the Cubs are terrible. They don't deserve my fake wins
