Bears vs Cowboys Notes
The Bears have ripped apart the Cowboys in their last two meetings. The Bears played the Cowboys on Monday Night Football last year and the defense played lights out as they intercepted Tony Romo 6 times and returned two of those for scores for a 34-18 victory. The meeting before that the Bears won 27-20 (not as close as score indicates) as the Bears picked off Romo twice, made Roy Williams fumble and Jay Cutler threw 3 touchdown passes.

The Bears last Monday Night Football Game this late in the season was in 2010 vs the Minnesota Vikings in a game that was played outdoors instead of indoors in Minnesota. The Bears won soundly 40-14 and ended Brett Favre's career.

Bears with a 6 pt lead @ the 1 minute mark..Trestman calls for Gould to kick a 95 yard FG. Gould barely misses by 3 inches. The Cowboys get the ball and score a TD with 3 seconds left on the clock to win the game by 1.

After the game Trestman speaks to the press and says "this loss is on me"..The next day Trestman addresses the press and says "I wouldnt have changed a thing and I stand by my FG call... It was in Goulds range"

Ditka gets so mad, he challenges Trestman to a cage fight. Trestman consults with his calculator and says he wont fight Ditka cause there is a 2% chance of rain, and computing that against the 6% chance of snow, and the 80% chance of sunshine, there might be a 20% chance he could slip and fall hitting his head and there would be a 15% chance he had a stroke cause of that, but offers to send Tucker to take his place. Tucker responds by saying he doesnt have time for kid games, he has an excellent defense he needs to hone. Tucker sends Joe D to fight Ditka instead. The fight starts and Ditka throws a roundhouse aimed right at Joe D's head... Joe D has a flashback to watching Hester return a punt, and in true Hester fashion throws himself to the mat thereby missing Ditkas punch by a heartbeat. Ditkas punch had so much force, that when it flew by Joe D, Ditka spun around and fractured his metal hip but won the fight cause Joe D knocked himself out when his head hit the mat.

Ditka calls Trestman a pussy, and says ol Marc has a lower IQ than Dexter Manley. When Trestman leaves Halas Hall that day, Ditka ambushes him and hits him in the forehead with a wad of used chewing gum causing Marc to consult with his law books which tell him he only has a 1% chance of successfully sueing Ditka cause everyone would be afraid Ditka would kill them. Trestman decides to call it a day. Ditka fixes his hip with a screw gun he borrows from Sweaty Teddy. Joe D and Tucker decide to retire from football and open a grudge match arena. The Bears get Toub and Marinelli to come back to da Bears. The following season the Bears win a SB by a score of 68-3

All is well in Bears land!

I loathe seeing Tony Homo's gay little dimple smile when he connects with Bryant for a 60yard TD even with a defensive pass interference on Conte... that being said bears win 33-31

Jason Witten could have an absolutely huge day if Bostic keeps up the trend of getting no depth whatsoever.

The Bears defense is going to get chewed up by Romo and friends and it will be the last embarrassing nail in the seasons coffin.

Julius Peppers will disappear for 2 games now that he has played a good game against Minnesota prepare to see him in GB at the end of the season.

McCown will play well, but he cannot score 30+ points which is what he needs.

10 more yards for Marshall and the Bears will have two 1000 yard receivers on the team.

No separate Ditka thread?

I just watched (suffered through) Chris Berman talking with Ditka. Berman mentioned the jersey "going up into the rafters". Ummm, Chris? It's an outdoor stadium, you tool.

Congrats to "Da Coach" on a very, very well-deserved honor.

My off the wall prediction for the week: After underreacting to the intentional move, the NFL will overreact and will flag somebody for sideline interference today, in a symbolic but empty move.

McCown will give it a good crack but Romo is going to carve this defense up easily.

Uh, yes. Ware is overrated, he got so many sacks because of the defensive scheme he played in as a 3-4 outside linebacker and got to line up against running backs and tight ends on occasion, unlike Peppers who is double teamed by offensive lineman half the time.

Ware is a pure pass rusher, Peppers dominates in all faucets of the game from blocking kicks on special teams, to setting the edge and taking on double teams against the run, to knocking down passes, getting interceptions, sacks, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries, etc. Peppers is by far the better all around player.

Peppers > Ware

Peppers > Ware

And he dominates shower heads too.
