Is McCown a backup? I'm not talking about in the bears, I'm taking in the league. Isn't he one of the best 32 in football? He's a starting qb.

Both our QBs have played better than about 2/3 of qbs this year. Pretty odd to have this in Chicago.

I bet there are more than a couple teams that would pay good money to have him right now.
The question is, would he have this kind of production on another team that needs a QB? I would say, and history would say, probably not.

At his age and past? Yes, he's a backup. If he'd had this kind of run in the middle of his career I could picture a team risking their next several season on him...but not now.
