This thread got fuckinh weird.

Why is Aussie doing his best Raslinikov impersonation.

On topic: if we draft Fournette I am done. That would be moronic.

If we're talking purely on talent, regardless of Bears' need, mine would go something like:

1. Myles Garret-most talented player in the draft
2. Jonathan Allen-really close 2nd to Garret, the gap isn't huge
3. Dalvin Cook-I watched Cook single-handily beat Miami for 3 years and carry FSU versus several opponents throughout his career. He made that offense go
4. Teez Tabor-Attitude concerns but he's the mos talented corner IMO
5. Malik Hooker-Play making safety that actually plays safety (yes, that's a shot at Peppers)
6. Leonard Fournette-Beastly blend of size and speed, takes a lot of punishment though and a lot of miles
7. Derek Barnett-Very talented pass rusher
8. Reuben Foster-Athletic thumper (is that an oxymoron?) I think he's better than Hightower and CJ Mosely
9. Tim Williams-Elite pass rusher, but is he only a pass rusher? Needs to round out his game
10. Cam Robinson-Prototypical LT size

Just missed the cut: Marlon Humphrey, Marshon Lattimore, Jamal Adams, Zach Cunningham, *insert top QBs here*

i wonder why it got weird?? its what they do... my pal gus cant help himself.. still salty from thunderdome ova 2 years ago... wont let it go.. keeps coming at me every other cycle.... strange, i just never go at him out of the blue... i need my bottle... whhaaa

anyway..on a serious note... i doubt they draft fournette.. im just rating him as the best player in the draft.. he and myles are neck and neck atm imo..u could flip flop them and id be okay with it..

your on allen.. what are your thoughts compared to say buckner from last yr?? i like allen on the inside.. he loses something on the outside.. not enough quickness/speed there...not saying hes a body of cement out there either.. just lacking that elite gear on the outside...hes got plenty for the inside though..

i saw more of buckner than i have allen so far, so maybe thats why im partial to buckner being better overall...

plus ive only looked at a handful of guys.. so my list really is limited.. doubt it gets yuge.. but eh.. i get bored

I'd love to have an Allen - Goldman - Hicks line

seems like a more refined version of cox coming out of mississippi state, only question mark will be if he can be handle the double teams on a consistent basis at the 5.

That's the question with every guy coming out of college. He is the best prospect at that position since probably Sue. He's even better than Leonard Williams and that's saying alot.

will he need to ? you got Hicks with a potential 8 sack season at 1 DE spot and Eddie Goldman if healthy causing havoc in the middle he might not have the sack numbers but he gets a ton of pressure inside. if he could only stay healthy... plus a player with technique at the inside position and quickness and moderate strength he should be able to beat all 1 on 1's with the best of the NFL. can't double team Goldman/Hicks/Allen/Mcphee(normally a TE chips) because one of them is going to get in your face with a screaming Leonard Floyd on the outside or inside* ?

suh was a DT in a 4-3 at nebraska and while scouts saw he could be an ideal fit in any scheme, i dont think he'd be quite as successful as he was in the 4-3
williams was the best 3-4 DE in a weak draft class. He's successful with the jets and thats great but his weakness coming out was his pass rushing skills.

To me i see allen's best fit in the nfl at 3tech.

bottom line if the bears feel allen can be a great 5 tech also then great, picking in the top 3 they better be damn sure.

I just hope Pace sees that we are multiple offseasons from building a contender. If there is a QB we like in the first, then great draft one, but don't reach, build the rest of the team and grab QB next year. The pressure could be too much to pass in the first but I hope not.
