Could've acquired Jed Lowrie instead of sitting on your ass.

Yeah. There isn't great market for a 3B. Unfortunately.

That's one of the biggest holes in the lineup and the roster for the Sox.

Really Capt.?

I mean they got Orlando Hudson.

He's no ARod in his prime, but he's a solid 3B. It's not like KW sat on his ass.

In fact if anything, KW should be criticized for the risks he takes.

Unfortunately there isn't very many options.

If there was the Sox might have a better shot at getting to the playoffs. 3B is the biggest hole in the roster. They need to fix that, but I have no idea how.

I meant this past off-season. Lowrie would've been a hell of alot better at 3rd base & not Morel.

Kenny had no reason to go after Lawrie though because Morel had just been a rookie and nobody knew if he would get better with the new hitting coach or something would happen and he would become a better hitter. He had the glove, but not the bat. They weren't sure how it would work out.

There was no reason to get a 3B last offseason. But this offseason, they really need to figure something out.

Guys it was me. I shot Morel in the back. Hopefully that will buy us another week.

You're right - that's not technically sitting on one's ass.

I think it's a bit premature to call him a solid 3B after 15 or 16 games, no?

Let's face it, Morel needs more seasoning. He isnt going to succeed when he is being pressured to perform with the big club. Look at Beckham. He wasn't doing well earlier in the year, when PK and Dunn were carrying the lineup, yes there was pressure to perform, but no one was expecting him to be good, in fact his nail was all but in the coffin, and right when everyone least expected him to succeed he did. Morel is a scapegoat right now, let the fans forget and see the Sox go their course and let Morel figure things out in Charlotte under minimal pressure.

I don't think that keeping him in the minors is going to do any help though. He's got to get the experience against major league pitchers if he's going to get any better.

And I'm not sure if he will get any better hitting wise.

its hard to tell. if he was playing hurt the whole time like majority of analysts believe we dont really know if he can be an avg hitting 3bmn. Defense is there though. If it is mental, seasoning wouldnt hurt to get confidence back. He needs patience and a better approach. It seems like he is a 3 pitch seeing hitter.

That's true. If the back affected his hitting that could be a big difference. Agree that the defense is there.

I believe a lot of it is mental to him.

im not sure we even know what he is. but if he keeps having back issues his career is in jeopardy.

It would be smart to obtain a 3Bmn. Not saying youk but someone that can be avg at defense and at the plate.
