Seriously? That one I was not expecting. I thought for sure Potulny because of his decent play for the Hogs or at least Pirri.

Tonight will see Jeremy Morin back up along with Rob Klinkhammer. I am excited about Klinks call. I just talked to him a week ago and we chatted

about his next opportunity. The good news for these two is that they have an opportunity to stay up for several games with Hossa on IR and the recent

Kane issue.

Beach was a healthy scratch last Friday due to performance on the ice. Coach Peters is known to pull players off the bench if they are not playing at

the level that is expected of them. I like that personally and you only need to look at the scratches for Lalonde to prove it.

Pirri was invited to Canada's world junior camp.

Might be why he wasn't called up.

Yeah that is good esp since the Hogs are young.

Paul Vincent was on the post game saying Beach is a next year guy, that he may get the odd game or 2 but he (Vincent) has Beach thinking next year in his own mind. Vincent also said Beach would be spending the Summer with him to work on his game and that Beach has matured and is committed to improving.

Beach as well as Lalonde while having skills are neither ready for the show at this point. As stated, they may get a nibble here or there but there are

other players on the team more seasoned and ready like Klink. On the other hand, Morin continues to impress as a 19 year old. The others could

learn alot from him.

In both those guys cases it was probably too easy for them in Jrs, they could get by on pure skill alone. Hopefully they'll now put in the work required to get them both to the next level.

I agree morin has more of the "total package" right now.

I'm still surprise Poltuny didn't get the call. I mean wow are we a young team right now.

Pisani is suposed to start skating this week and Hossa from what I hear IS going on the road with the team this weekend.

You think the Hawks are young come look at the IceHogs roster!

Razors are just being purchased by many of them.

We were taling about Crawfords first game as a hawk last night. He came in relief of Khabi when he was 18 I believe. He looked no older than my 15 year old does now.

I'm still surprised it was Klink over Poltuny.

I am happy for Klink...he's been with our organ-I-zation longer and seems to always bring a good game to the rink.

With young guys in Rockford seeing what performance gets rewarded, I think promoting the hardest worker is a good idea. I think the Hawks lack a bit of sandpaper underwear right now, so that's another plus in my eyes.

I like Potulny pretty well too but he's a different type player than Morin and Klink.

As an aside, I was at the game in Grand Rapids a couple weeks ago. Potulny scored the first goal that night, but it was a real stinker by the Griffins goalie Jordan Pearce--shot it right at his stick and it went under. Pearce is now in the ECHL.

I liked Potulny one for experience but second he plays on the PP well.

He was 2nd on the Oilers last year in PP goals. I think only Penner was a head of him. I've always liked Klinkhammer though so not too torn up on him coming up.

I like Klink in camp and was hoping to see more of him. I am not at all impressed with Bickell and think he should be doing more (goal total not withstanding). I think Klinkhammer could/should fill a role like the one Bickell is doing in a halfassed manner.

Morin needs to be up with this team full time next year, just imo.

I think one of the reasons Morin is more "NHL" ready, and this maybe pure speculation, but he did play for the USNDP up until last year. Those kids practice more then play games, while also working on skills and such more then a CHL player would. The CHL guys get more games in and play more hockey, but the US kids are getting more practice and are detail oriented.

Look at Kane, he was able to step in the NHL immediately and looked liked he belonged, but, dare I say it, Turris is still in the process of learning positioning and such.

Who and what is a Klinkhammer?

Love the name but I know nothing about this kid nor have I ever heard a word about him. I guess his AHL numbers are decent but anyone know more about this kid?

A little surprised by this call up to be honest. Hmmmmmmmma very interesting pick seeing the others that were there for the pickings. Not sure how to take the call up to be honset but we will wait and see maybe this kid has some energy that will help boost the Hawks. Can't see him getting much ice time so should be interesting to see how Q sets his lines and runs his bench.
