Whoah, Rashard Lewis, I think we have a challenger! That's a good one, there. That guy is grotesquely overpaid. Makes you wonder why Orlando would give him that much when they got him from Seattle.
Marbury is another exceptional example.
A fine guard, yes, but Marbury was also the most overrated "superstar" I have ever seen in my life.
With the exception of his short-lived days with KG (in Minnesota and about 3 weeks in Boston) every...single...team Marbury was the main man on was mediocre, average, below-average, or just plain terrible.
He could have been GREAT as Minnesota's second option behind Kevin Garnett. But he got greedy and just had to get paid every penny Kevin Garnett was getting paid and he was so obscessed with gettin' his, he would even go to the Nets and force a huge trade.
He was poison in the locker room.
The Nets were dog meat when he ran the point. The Nets trade him and bring in Jason Kidd and all of a sudden, the Nets are in the NBA Finals what seemed every year.
The Suns are mediocre with Marbury as their number one player, they get rid of him and bring in Steve Nash and all of a sudden the Suns are in the Western Conference Finals nearly every year.
Everything he touched turned to crap, nearly everywhere he left became an instant championship contender. The most selfish player I've ever seen.
Just saying...
Here's how it breaks down so far...
Joe Johnson- 17.7ppg, 4.5 apg, 5 All-Star, 12th in MVP voting once- 200 million
Gilbert Arenas - 21 ppg, 5.5 apg, 1.6 apg, Most Improved Player award, 3 time All-Star (because of injuries), 12th in MVP voting one year, 8th in MVP voting another year, 162 million.
Rashard Lewis - 16.3 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2 All-Star, 0 MVP votes, 164.6 million
Stephon Marbury - 19.3 ppg, 7.6 apg, 1.2 spg, 2 time All-Star, 0 MVP votes, 151 million.
Allan Houston- 17.3 ppg, 40% from 3, 2-time All-Star, 0 MVP votes, 117 million.

Rashard Lewis peeps. Couple good years stroking the 3 in Seattle, and Orlando gives him a 6 year 100 Mill contract. Thats all he does, shoot 3's, not very good anymore, and has no D, and no other offensive game. I dont think he even gets of the bench in DC.
