when I was a little kid, I had a honda that kinda looked like this
it was so slow a dog was able to run up and bite me while I was trying to vroom away.
Motorcycle thoughts?
I've got two sport bikes. They are terrifying especially during the first few weeks. One of them almost 200hp on a 500lb bike and can reach 175mph quicker than I ever thought possible, and I don't really see the point. But imo there isn't much like it. Most important thing is to know your limits. The shit people do out on the street is insane.
More like the shit other drivers do is insane.
When on 2 wheels, always assume every other driver is out to kill you...particularly in cities.

I rode for years then cell phones got popular. Used to get cut off a couple times a month and then everyone e was checking their phone and trying to kill me daily. Figured it was only a matter of time so I sold it. Do miss it sometimes. Was fun and cheap to ride.
Make the bike your hobby and ride slow in the country. You will find many roads where you can hit that throttle and not have a moron try to kill you.
This, completely. I bet I could drive from Chicago to Indy and get there faster and safer than in a car on 65, taking country highways. I'd never take 65 on a bike though, not the way I ride (popping wheelies showing off to chickbros and such)
Yeah, it's staggering to see how many people can't put down the phone and drive.
And you're complaining when bikes split lanes?...which I was once ticketed for on the Eisenhower.
Unless hands-free, no cell phones means NO cell phones in Illinois. And it isn't being enforced b/c it isn't a moving violation.
Yet they are inherently more dangerous than a drunk driver.
I've been almost creamed by dozens on phones...but never by a drunk.
