Sosa? Why would you put a cheater & a guy who used a corked bat on it?

Debatable topic. To be honest here the whole league was dirty so there was a even playing ground going on. Pitchers were dirty also. If it just a few hitters juicing then sure there was an argument.

I'm under the opinion that this more so relates towards the mound being lowered. It effected the whole game. Or the dead ball era. Effected the whole game.

So under these views he carried his team for over 10 years and was the only player that had value during that time.

The whole roids thing was just a witch hunt by a bunch of ****** bags trying to save face after a bunch of the same ****** bags were fine with it to bring the fans back to the game after the strike.

Honestly any one that gets worked up over it needs a new hobby. Go to the local gym and see who is juicing or who is not. No one cares there.

Why don't you participate in the thread instead of whining about what other members have posted?

Glad I'm not a fan of the MLBs laughing stock.

Sosa, has had one of the best stretches ever! He juiced, so what? I guarantee you at least 75 percent of your favorite players has messed with it! When I say that, I mean Peds! Greenies count

All great choices of course! Honestly, I couldn't decide between Sandberg/Dawson/Grace/Maddux so I decided Chet Steadman would be a way around that difficult choice.

If Mark Grace makes your team's Mt. Rushmore, your team doesn't have a Mt. Rushmore.

Ugh... Lou Brock.... What could've been, eh?

The prime example of why giving up on a baseball player at 25 is never a good idea. Maybe everyone who bitches about Castro/Rizzo/Samardzija should read up on how and why Brock was dealt ;)

The prime example of why exceptions to the rule shouldn't be used as a rule.

Rarely do players hitting under .260 through 1300 major league PA's turn into Hall of Fame players, but yet you want to treat all players like that.

Good idea if you want a bunch of underperforming 28 year olds on your team.

If there was no issues with Sosa he would be #1 even over Banks. What he did for the game to bring it back to life post strike was amazing.

As much as I like Sandberg he was not as talented as Banks or Williams. For that matter Sosa added to that. He was a solid blue collar worker.

I can't put Sosa on their because it is a mt. Rushmore, not a best player or best stats. For me that Knocks Sosa off. I think there is a connotation with Mt. Rushmore that keeps Sosa off.

I still think Santo and Banks should be 1A/1B. Banks is Mr. Cub and Santo was not only a top player, but he was with the organization forever.

I think a case can be made for Harry. He ha a freaking statute out front. I am surprised no one has him on the list.

Sandburg is probably the best player the Cubs have had when you consider their positions. Sandburg is arguable a top 5 2B of all time. I don't think we can say that about any other player that spent their entire career as a Cub.

Jenkins and Williams were a toss up. I wish both of them had played longer for the Cubs though.

I really wanted to find people that spent a vast majority of their careers with the Cubs.
