Yeah I get all that, but when is the last time that a storm has hit that has actually been as bad as predicted? The only time that I can remember there being a storm big enough to shut things down, it came out of no where. The assholes. Luckily, I went to Costco saturday, and jewell yesterday, we are set for the long haul. NOw I just pray we keep power.

Jan 2nd, 2001. It was predicted in advance.

Also, down in Champaign in 2007 we got 18-20" while Chicago got 8-10" and this was also predicted in advance.

2001... well that was a while ago, and 8-10 predicted in advance, I dont' really remember, but that's not as earth shattering as upto 30 inches with 18 foot waves... I'm talking end of days here folks. EODs...

In 2001 I think it was 21" in the Chicagoland area.

In 2007, I was more saying the 18-20 in Champaign that we got compared to the 8-10 that fell during the same snowfall in Chicago. Wasn't really saying 8-10 was a lot. That's happened several times. I was using that as a reference because I doubt you would have remembered that blizzard cus you didn't live in Champaign.

I get to choose whether I work or not in this storm. I am my own boss, and I know when I call in sick I am not really sick.

The biggest pain is my drug testing policy.

You still pay the deadbeats that aren't sick when they say they are sick?

I find this crap to be funny... I mean, yeah its 2 feet of snow... Ok... big deal. Just means more to shovel...

But when people crowd the grocery stores and places like that as if we were going through a tropical storm...? Sad.

I gotta go out in this weather tomorrow and Wednesday, and I don't give a darn how bad it is! I'm still going out in it!

18-30 inches of snow 30-50 mph winds... Sounds like an average day in North Dakota

The storm will be arriving here on Wednesday - 20-40 cm of snow.

I never used the snowblower last year, I guess its time to get it out.
