I would have thought the Murphy/Odunze odds would have been flip flopped but happy either way.

Murphy +150
Odunze +225
Verse +1000

I know Murphy has been getting a lot of love lately, but what is it that's linking him to the Bears. I feel like I missed something.

Poles and Flus have both commented recently about interior pressure being more important than edge. All the commentators have just “discovered” him the last few weeks. Who knows? Feels like a smokescreen to me.

OK thank you. I know he's an option, but seems very odd that he'd be a favorite given the gaping hole at EDGE.

WR has depth so I don't expect that to be obvious, but then again you've got Odunze snapping pics with CW lol

Note:

This is just for pick #9, not meaning this is for who the bears will pick. Those odds were taken down.

MHJ's odds to go #5 has also increased recently. Time to trade up POLES! Fuck that gap tooth fuck and his defensive fat bois!

Took 2 DTs last year in the first 2 rounds (pick 64, don't care if it's technically round 3, it's round 2 in a normal year) and potentially taking another one this year? That tells me there was an evaluation failure last year if they go ahead and draft another one so highly this year. Saying nothing of Murphy, I'll be super disappointed if they go DT (or defense at all) and not the best offensive player available at 9.

The whole point of hiring Flus was he could supposedly do wonders on defense with minimal high draft picks. I will never understand going defense again with two of the three picks in the first two rounds (Sweat trade) given the majority of free agency money has gone to defense and most of the high level draft picks.

Betting on the draft does not seem like a wise investment. Way too unpredictable outside of the first couple picks.

He also had a great year in player development last year. So it only makes sense to give less reps to the two guys you drafted in the 2nd round last year!

Yep, DraftKings, FanDuel, BetRivers , Fanatics & ESPN Bet all have Murphy favored to go to the Bears at #9 now.

Doubt those odds would be the same if he and Odunze are available at #9.

I’m sure with that, “quickest way to a QB is through the middle” quote from Poles. And Flus stating the interior player is the main key.

Because the Bears are dead last in sack percentage.

But you are absolutely correct about evaluation issues.

Unless I am mistaken, this isn't for him to go to the bears but for him to go #9.

All sportsbooks(that I am aware of) got rid of the bets for teams picking a specific player outside of a few players

So bring in a rookie DT who will get 18 pressures max.

Sounds like the proper way to fix the sack issue in 2024

No clue wtf poles is doing at edge
