Don't blame the bootstraps. The bootstraps are not the problem.

ND is horrible.
Whut up HBK, try this bro.

https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-Curica-Relief-Tablets/dp/B006346XIA

I got some stiffness/pain in my back from being a lard ass and TONNES of shoulder paid from too much benching as a youngster, but I don't have severe back pain, so I have no idea if it'll help.

I take half of what's recommended, and it's somewhat pricey, so if you try it, start with maybe 4 pills for 2 days and try to taper down. Great stuff for me, but who knows bc back pain is a whole different animal.

GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK THO'.....IM ALL OVER THAT Biscuitsky train!!!

I'd avoid surgery at all cost...you'll likely get worse and by the sound of it that's something you don't need.

Never had any back issues but I've been dealing with arthritis for about 15 years. Knees, ankles, and hands/fingers. The prescription I have is for Vimovo which is a massive dose of Aleve, it works but makes me sick. I only take it when I have no other choice, it's either stay in bed or take that shit and be able to walk but be sick. I only have to take it once or twice a month these days.

1/10 would not recommend.

Naproxen can be not fun for some people. Doesn't bother me like that, but not very effective for me.

My rheumatologist told me I could take 800mg of Ibuproffen along with extra strength Tylenol in one dose. Works a charm when needed, but I have an iron gut, and these drugs don't give me the side effects that the stronger prescription NSAIDs give me.

Early last year my back finally gave out. After years of going to the chiropractor, and not knowing my bone density was way down, I finally got x-rayed and an MRI. I was told My Osteoporosis was so bad that I had the bone density of a 95 year old women and my vertebra collapsed. Every vertebrae is fractured. There were weeks at a time last year where I couldn't even lay down without screaming in pain. Slept of the couch sitting up for weeks. Ungodly pain.
Had three Kyphoplastys done (separating the vertebrae with a balloon) and filling it in with cement. That didn't help and I have new pain shooting down my hip if I stand or walk for more than 5 minutes or so. That's on top of the constant back pain. I've been too 10 doctors and had every test in the book done and none can figure it out. I even went as far as getting an online second opinion from Cleveland Clinic. Still no solution, but I'm now injecting Forteo daily in my stomach. It sucks, and it won't even fix the damage or relieve pain. Basically, I'm screwed for life.
Anyways, I tried every pain killer including Norco and none help enough to justify the side effects. Plus I don't want to get dependent on them. I wish I had an answer for you man.

Yeah Vimovo is Naproxen with Pepsid AC. It doesn't help much with the pain, but it brings down the swelling enough for me to be able to walk. One or two days a month I'm sick as hell, I just think of it as a very short tamponless period.

WTF? That is horrible, totally messed up. Reading that provided some much needed perspective. Good luck man.

Holy shit, man. You're definitely a stronger man than I for being able to go through all that. I hope you can find some relief soon.

Dasux Tater... in your situation if you need the pain killers, use them.

I had 13 surgeries on my right leg between ages 9 and 17 and I was full blown addicted to Norco/Xodol at least 4 separate times because I was taking it regularly for 12-18 months at a time.

It is not fun, but it really is not impossible to come off of pain killers... I did it 4 separate times entirely my own decision after a 6-12 months of heavy daily use.

I know it can be scary to use pain killers because the notion of detoxing can seem insurmountable, but IMO that is because people are weak and they can't just suck it up and deal with a week of detox.... you are obviously not weak, so if you use pain killers and then have to deal with a week of detox in the future, I have no doubt you could do it.... I did it at 10, 12, 16, and again at age 18.... it is very possible.

Funny story to leave you with....

Junior year of High School at age 16 I had been using pain killers daily for over a year and began my detox.

I could not walk that whole year and would be on crutches for another full year basically.

So I had this **** of an English teacher who would give me shit even as I was dealing with all the surgeries and pain killers and junk.

I crutch into her room the 3rd day into my detox and I am sweating, I look haggard, I am carrying my 50lbs of books while using crutches.... the teacher turns to me and says "Mr. Ares.... you look terrible..... is everything ok?" and I reply "I have been on heavy narcotic pain killers for 14 months and I am 3 days into detoxing cold turkey off of them, what do you think?"

Thanks.
My Osteopathic surgeon (he's 67) said his wife has been going through the same thing and also had 3 Kyphoplastys. I asked him what my future life will be like, he looked me in the eye and said "shit". Not what you want to hear from a doc.

Damn, sorry you had to go through all that. Another thing I worry about with pain killers is that I'll feel better and do more physically than I should, and then feel like death after they wear off.

many months ago I started a thread on here about my back being in pain turns out I have degenerative disc desease whatever the **** that is and arthritis in the bottom 4 vertibre so lets hear some ideas from all the old ******* here what are some things I can do to reduce the arthritis pain
I've known back pain. Whenever there's a Part 1 with back pain, there's a part 2 and 3 and 4...

Degenerative disc? Arthritis? Doctors always make things sound worse than it is. Pretty much nothing but normal wear and tear that comes with age, faster for those who injure their backs. Hurt my back badly a couple times and was in pain for a very long time so I looked for any info I could find for relief. Some other things said here will help somewhat. Stretching is good. The advice I am about to give will seem too simple to work but will probably work better than any of this other stuff. It did for me anyway. Fish oil. Stock up on it and take plenty of it. Excellent for aching joints. I'd take about 4 or 5 in the AM and another 4 at night during more painful times. It doesn't take long to start helping either. You'll be feeling less and less pain beginning in just days.

She sounds sweet, is there anyway to look her up? Probably dead huh? Oh well, it would still be nice to drop a deuce on her grave.

Cocaine, lots and lots of cocaine. Snort it, shoot it, smoke it, drink it, doesn't matter, just stay high 24/7 and you'll be fine.
