Were any of you at the Arch or Pappy's last Saturday for the Hawks/Blues game? I was in town (live in Vegas now) and went to the Arch and Pappy's with my fiance and there were A LOT of Hawks sweaters at both. Didn't go to the game because I couldn't get tickets in time.

I believe I read BigPete and Nana were at the game, don't know where else they went though.

There were Hawks sweaters everywhere! We toured the brewery, were out around town before the game, and went to the casino after the game. There were tons of Hawk fans at the brewery, to no one's surprise.

There definitely were. I didn't feel like stopping and asking everyone if they were on the forums.

Wish I had known. The STH in front of me owns the Casino! Next time tell me!

It was a last minute decision because we were so crazy after the win!

Yea it's always more fun in the Lou when they win. Not so much fun when they lose. And in the past 4 years that building has been 40% or more Hawk fans than Blues. This is the first year I'm not going to the STC.

My wife and I were at the game. We live in Belleville and don't enjoy going out to bars and such after games unless we are already with a group so you wouldn't have seen us...we went from the garage, into the Scottrade, back into the garage and on to home.

I would guesstimate that it was a solid 50/50 of red and blue jerseys. We were very thankful to have NO douchebag incidents, but I guess it helps when your team wins and you don't sit in the cheap seats with the hoosior

Your luckier than I. The one game I went to while I lived in fairview, hawks won, (I forunately was sitting next to hawk fans) when we left the game dudes kept purposely bumping into me, like I would walk by someone and they would drive their shoulder into me. I never went again after that because I cant maintain my cool that well. what was worse is I was with my mom she bought club seats for my B-day (she came down to visit) and my GF was back up north. Im not going to shoot their feedback at them with my mom around.

I dont hold it against all blues fans, it was just a few people. Theres rotten apples everywhere and overall I would say the blues fans were cordial to hawk fans, because it annoys me when people go to visiting arenas and label all fans assholes when a couple of people give them shit.

and pete next time the hawks are in st. lou on a weekend, Im thinkin I might make the trip if your down for goin to the game and hangin out.

Hah I remember games in the old Arena with my uncle when I was 6-12 there would be brawls in the stands every game. Definitely not the rivalry it used to be. Though it was more intimate in the barn than it is now.

I spent many a night in the arena wearing my Hawk sweater. about as bad there for Hawk fans as the Stadium was for Blues fans. Get them in the playoffs a couple of times the rivalry will be back.

Definitely agree, with the new conferences next year I can see the Blues rivalry in a similar light to the Canucks rivalry -- the only difference is I can't see any hair pulling going on lol.

I haven't really been following the Blues this year at all but I see they are sitting at 33 points. Are they getting better? I mean standings can be deceiving and all but the main reason I ask is because rivalries are much better when both teams are good and the games are much more meaningful. When things are on the line and every game counts. I want that to be the case in the coming years. Detroit Sucks and such and they'll always be decent and so thus rivalry meaningful but I think like has been said that St. Louis and Minny as the emerging teams and rivalries could really be something special. Winnipeg too, but that's just as the token Canadian hatred seeks in.

Minny and St Louis were always far more fierce rivalries than Detroit ever was. Must have been before your time.

Of course we'll go to a game with you. Melissa is just as big of a fan so I can't exclude her. You are welcome to stay at my place too. You know I have the room.

As for StL fans. You didn't run across the exception with those douchebags. That was the norm. The exception would have been the way people behaved at the game this weekend when we thoroughly beat them on the ice. It was either too cold or they wised up to being outnumbered by red sweater fans, but they didn't say a peep. Usually they won't shut up, even after you remind them what it feels like to touch the Stanley Cup. lol

Getting a professional coach helps. I don't like Fatass Hitchcock but he is successful. They won 7 of their first ten with him.

Well they ruined the Stars rivalry and the Hawks were bad, while St. Louis was good, and reverse now. Would not take much to get them going again. Need playoffs.
