Cats are for those poeple that don't want a pet as needy as a 3 year old kid or an ex g/f. Give them water, food, something to scratch and a litter box and they pretty much take care of themselves. No whining or howling at 3:00am to go outside to shit or piss.

I have liked very few cats, and typically cannot stand them. I swear cats know who doesn't like them because they like me and come rub up against me. Water guns are very good cat repellents. Generally dogs are awesome and cats suck.

One of my lady FWB has a cat like this. It will sit and stare at water if it's a running faucet and paw at it. However, if I zap it with the little hand watergun it runs away and yu won't see it for hours.

Hey Meow. My cousin got alerted to some thieves breaking into his house by his cat. He was home sick and was asleep on the couch, some thieves broke the glass out on his garage side door and had made their way into the house that way, the Cat who is normally a people person type cat didn't approach the thieves it went and jumped on and pestered my cousin until he finally got up and noticed what was going on.

Normally the cat would greet anyone who came in the house but this one knew better. Not to mention this video of a cat that saved a kid from a dog attack.

Cats are awesome animals. It's weird how social culture picked them as the less manly of the two between cats and dogs, because cats are everything rednecks love. They're wilder, more savvy, they're awesome at hunting and killing, independent, and pound for pound can beat the shit out of any dog. Dogs are needy. Don't get me wrong I love dogs too, but I find cats have so much more character, it's just more subtle.

Mind you, I don't look for worship or service from a companion animal; if I have them, it's just to enjoy them and give them a good life.

My cat likes running faucets too. I got it one of those kitty fountains for christmas. She likes it but it sounds like someone is pissing in my living room all the time, so I don't like it.
