Vietnam, so no.

WWIII, so no.

More hints. How many battles changed the course of World War 2? The father and son were Americans. The title of the movie and the name of the battle are the same.
Lots of battles changed the course of WWII, but for the US, there's one huge one. Battle of Coral Sea was big. Invasion of Normandy isn't really considered a battle, wasn't just US, more an operation. Battle of Bulge was big, but not really loseable.

But your hint makes it real easy for me. I have to guess Midway.

Time's up, someone else should pick.

The movie is Brewster's Millions
Good one, Brett! And good description too. But you need to take "number51" off your ignore list to play in the thread. He was making guesses for your movie, but you're not responding.

Name the movie...

An envious older woman poisons a young lady, putting her into a coma. Her recently befriended seven buddies track the older lady down and traps her on a cliff, and while trying to defend herself she falls off the cliff and dies.

Imagine needing to ignore someone on a message board in order to be happy.

It's not the ignoring that makes him happy, it's the constant public declarations of the "who's who" of his ignore list that make him happy. He reads most of the posts he has on ignore.

**** you!

You’re up

Thanks.

Here's my offering:

Two young ruffians who love to get into fights every night together are celebrating at their favorite bar when they finally lose one of their nightly brawls and end up on the lam. They go on to share the same romantic interest and things totally fall apart in a scheme to rob a mansion. Extremely violent dystopian film
