Why does everyone insist on repeating the offense is terrible line. While not good, it hasn't been the thing holding this team back. Before today's game they were averaging 4.09 runs a game with the league average being 4.16.

because we've been bad. It was awful @ the beginning of the season, and as recently as 3 weeks ago we scored 6 runs in 4 games. The pitching and Defense hasn't been good either, but regardless...hitting being the Cubs "best aspect" this season is kinda like being the shiniest pile of shit.
