Lovin' the eyebrows. I think this is the right decision for the Cubs. Saw it coming from a mile and a half away.

He is basically a filler that is on the cheap to help get the cubs back on their feet financially and to get the youth some more experience. hiring an expensive manager such as girardi would be a waste of money right now just do to the fact that the cubs will not be contending for a couple of years until more money is freed up.

Maybe I need to recalibrate what intelligent means where youre concerned.

We've got the Cards and Reds easily ahead of us for 2011.. Earliest we will probably go back is 2012.. Unless we make a surprise run..

now i do not believe they are a playoff team, but no one can say it cant happen, **** it is the nl central.

i think if quade makes the playoffs 1 of the 2 years he will be extended.

We've got the Cards and Reds easily ahead of us for 2011.. Earliest we will probably go back is 2012.. Unless we make a surprise run..

I'm not expecting much out of next year, but I wouldn't be surprised if we make a run next year. This is given that we get Dunn, which I strongly think we will and Rami is healthy all year. We have a pretty solid lineup and nice pitching. The reds are one or two injuries away from falling off the face of the earth and if something happens to Pujols, Holliday, Carp, or Wainwright, the Cardinals are pretty much fucked. However, there are two barricades in the way, so I don't see much more than a 2nd or 3rd place finish.

haha it isss the NL Central.. I still think the Reds are going to become more and more dominant as the next few seasons pass..

the direction of the team is entirely different.

i think the whole longterm thought process is the correct one. the spending buffet wasnt working and the tire patching wasnt working so this cannot hurt.
