Gordon, Giddens, Devin Neal among others. I just think quite a few will probably go in the 2nd and early 3rd, Gordon might be one of those. Bears should go edge in the first and interior ol in the 2nd, but grabbing another ol in the 3rd or 4th with a rb in one of those two rounds really wouldn't break my heart.
Yeah i'm waiting until the following draft to go RB if it were me because if we drafted someone in this draft he isn't going to start with us paying Swift $8 mil and Swift will have a better OL to run behind, fingers crossed, so he should be just fine as our 3 down RB next year especially with teams still having to focus on our passing game with Caleb throwing to DJ, Rome, Cole and others.

I guess a late round RB couldn't hurt but it'll be Swift's job next year and RB's don't usually need to sit a year and any games to start their careers, they can be ready to go right away.

Swift will only be with the team one more year and he's a mediocre back. It'd be foolish to pass on a great rb class for that reason.

If they don't get an rb because they use all those picks on OL/DL then that's alright.

That's why i said i'd wait and go RB in the next draft, because the guaranteed money for Swift will be done after next season. I also added to my post you replied to saying if they went RB in the late rounds then i'd be fine with that and great RB's are pretty easy to find.

I think if a rookie comes in and is better than Swift then they'd relegate Swift to a smaller role. Especially with a different coaching staff (Johnson didn't love him, if he ends up the coach) and potentially FO. Swift was a 1st round pick in Detroit and they didn't hesitate to split touches.

Could get someone like skattebo later. I'd say it's easy to find solid backs, I wouldn't say great rbs are easy to find though.

You have absolutely no idea if Johnson liked him or not and they wanted to go with a two RB system which is why they still put Monty and Gibbs together.

I could name an absolutely monster list of great RB's that were drafted late or not even drafted at all. I'm not going to do it because i simply don't feel like it but if you've been a football fan long enough then you already know this is true anyway.

How many great rbs are there in the league right now? I'd say like 5ish. I'm guessing your definition of "great" is different and would put that number much higher

I didn't say anything about how many great RB's i can name that were drafted late or not at all are in the league right now, i said over the years. I'll say maybe saying great was overdoing it but i think you knew that and are just somewhat reaching for ways to say it's not easy to find great/good (okay i'll add good) RB's that aren't drafted in the early rounds of drafts.

Now with adding the word good i'll say there's many more than 5 of them in the league right now, shit i'd probably say there's more than 5 great RB's in the league now.

Poles will chomp gum and draft the RB. Then have sad Pikachu face when he can’t gain yards because nobody can block.

Or

His new leader of men will want a DE who gets 4 sacks and means nothing because the oline can’t block.

Just draft oline please.
If the top two OL are off the board when we pick in the first, I have no problem going with the best DL available.

Do you honestly think Poles will pick the best?

Got to pick Mason Graham if he is there. If Campbell is there but not Graham, get Campbell. Banks projects as guard. Too high. Rather get IOL in 2nd. DT or RB in 3 rd. BOA after.

Deone Walker wrecked Ole Miss when they played Kentucky. He's more of a run stopper but Ole Miss's really good OL couldn't stop him
Walker is going to go higher than most think imo, he has the ability to be a legit 5T, something like an Akiem Hicks. Dude's got great athleticism for someone his size. I'd try to get him down to about 330 and put him at 5T.

Swift is mediocre, very good pass catcher, very good in space, but offers little more than what's blocked on most plays and isn't a very good blocker.

They should draft RB in the mid rounds this year. although if they don't add a pick I don't think they can afford to take one in the 3rd.

Yeah im hoping Cunningham gets a job and they get a comp pick. But if Warren fires poles then Cunningham won't get bears a comp pick if he gets a gm job. That'd be bears luck.

I like Walker, also. He and Mykel Williams have just insane physical tools, and if they learn how to put it all together, would be amazing pros.

My guy in the teens is Walter Nolen. Just dominant and great at everything. Wyatt Millum if he falls and it’s a fantastic start to the draft.

Backfield needs a serious injection of speed. Same for the receivers too.

Right now, Bears are sitting at #9 and depending how the last month of the season goes they may move up a couple of spots because I don't see them winning another game. I think the prime area to get Banks, or Cambell the top two rated OL are in that 7 to 10 range. Either would be a godsend for CW.

Yes. Poles has picked very well. His picks aren’t the problem. The coaching has been.

Nope. Not a chance.

1.) Qb
2.) Qb
3.OT
4.) athlete cb? Wr? Dunno.
5 - 6 this is where the other OT goes.

Over reaching on QB and the safety blanket of OL. We may get a top DE or DL, but I don’t think we get one of the top two OL. I’d like to be wrong, though.
