He’s best as a swing tackle or RT. It’s time to look for a replacement at LT. Baltimore’s LT Stanley is going to walk this year; he hasn’t been elite since his nasty ankle(?) injury but he’s still much better than any LT this franchise has had. He won’t be 31 until March. His run blocking sucks but I don’t think he’s given up a sack this year.
If Stanley makes it to FA I'd be all in on him. Get Stanley, zeitler/Becton, and dalman. I know they won't sink that much on OL in FA but they should. It would allow them to spend their first 2 picks on DL then grab another G and an rb with their next 2

OR you could put Campbell at LT and get two new guards and potentially a new C(or keep shelton) as well.

Sure but I think having one of Jones or Wright on the bench is a bit of a waste although if you plan on letting Jones walk after 2025 then makes sense. That or possibly trade him.

1 sack, 4 QB hits and 30 pressures vs 5 sacks, 2 QB hits and 26 pressures for Jones. Last year it was 5 sacks 5 QB hits and 42 pressures vs 2 sack 2 QB hits and 32 pressures. Once you normalize snaps then Stanlely comes out slightly ahead.

Jones would be a really nice swing T. Having quality depth is not a waste. Good teams have depth on the OL and DL. Bears don't even have quality starters on either line.

He is a FA in 2026 and someone is going to want him as a starter. So for me if he isnt starting I would be looking to move him for a 3rd or higher. Otherwise you can let him walk in FA and hopefully get a comp pick presuming Bears will not be big buyers in 2026.

No I described you because you responded by trying to deflect which you are doing again.

Do you have anything intelligent to say about the fact Swift is 2nd worse in the NFL in RYOE and 4th worse in RYOE per attempt?
What's intelligent mean?

Tossing this out there as a shitty mock using one of the draft sims.

I started a deeper dive on offensive linemen, and it seems like there is an excess of Left Guard prospects, but not a ton of Right Guard prospects. Sure, you can flip a LG, but I prefer people to take their own positions.

Based on that, a trade down seemed like a better idea - Jonah is a true RG (best pure RG prospect in the draft I think). Allowed me to pick up Ersey, a DT and a Safety (concerned about Brisker), then Zabel who can play both guard and tackle and projects as good depth in the NFL, followed by Caleb's center from USC, then just filling out potential depth/backup spots to get some new blood in some meeting rooms and hopefully increase the chances of getting a decent line. No real LTs to be found in this draft; even Campbell if he fell is considered to possibly be better at guard, so we either live another year with Brax or hope we can sign a halfway decent LT in FA.

I'm putting B.Jones straight on the trade market to see what kind of offers we can get for him if we draft Campbell to play LT.

What tells you savaiinaea is a pure RG? Is it that he's spent the last 2 seasons playing RT then LT? Or did you get the super secret scoop that he's right footed?

He has it on good authority that dude masturbates vigorously with his right hand so his right hand punch is orgasmic.

How about RT- Jones...RG- Wright.....New LT...LG- Campbell .....Bates at C? For those who remember, those who don't remember and the unrespectful ignorant woke, the Walsh's Niners of the '80's would draft Ts with short arms to play G. The reason being that the Ts were already good at pass protection and the concepts thereof. And pass plays being used more often in the West Coast Offense, that actually started with the Cincinnati Bengals, and don't doubt me, for all practical purposes had 4 Ts & a C on the line. Of course, that C being Randy Cross from UCLA. The second team All-Pro C every year behind the great Jay Hilgenburg.

No I compared him to the whole NFL RB group by noting he was 2nd worse in the entire NFL in RYOE and 4th worse in RYOE per attempt. That is comparing him too all RBs dumbass.

Stats dont tell the whole story. They are just better at telling the story than uneducated fans who resort to deflection when they cant intelligently argue a point. You have no rebuttal to the fact Swift is 2nd and 4th worse in the NFL in RYOE and RYOE per attempt.
I didn't see Swift miss many holes last night. He actually ran pretty well and found the minimal holes the OL did create for him. I'm sure PFF would lie......excuse me, tell a different story for you though.

RYOE isnt PFF. It is next gen stats.

Looking at Week 15 his RYOE was 0 so basically he got the yards he was supposed to get so Next Gen agrees with you that he didnt miss many holes last night.

However that also means when they said he has been terrible on the year it is believable. They give him credit when he hits the holes he is supposed and knock him when he doesnt.

So again still 2nd worse in RYOE in the NFL. Sorry.

Jewels to get a case of Squirt
He was unable to finish the first 4th and one run, on the first drive. He was essentially tackles by a guy on the ground facing away from him, when just leaping would have gotten the first. On its own, it's a forgivable mistake but I think that play is emblematic of why he's not really a lead RB. Overall he had one of his better games yesterday though. Not sure why they don't split him out and have him run routes on LBs more often. That's where he can really shine.

The more I watch Abdul Carter play, the more I hope he is the pick. Holy hell. Reminds me so much of Micah Parsons (and no, I am not saying he will turn out as dominant as him). Used to play LB and is just scratching the surface, and is still this good. I think he’s going to be unbelievable in the league.

Another deflection because you lack an intelligent point.
Wait a minute.............so intelligence is simply going and looking up stats and then coming to a message board to regurgitate what you see there? Nope i'm definitely not intelligent enough to do that. :long:
