This.
Choreographing every play is ridiculous, but it’s obvious who the favorites are like Aaron Rodgers and who gets the calls. That feeds into the season long narrative.
You could probably take half a dozen holding calls one way or another for a team and change the entire course of their season.

And this is the problem in this country right now. There are far too many of these people and we are seeing its effect. Id bet anyone here $10k that he also believes in flat earth, moon landing hoax etc.

I don’t think that it’s scripted but I definitely think that superstar/certain players get flags and non-flags that other players don’t get away with. A guy like Brady will get calls a guy like Minshew wouldn’t get. A foul is a foul and a flag should be a flag.
Also refs have too much power to influence the games as a lot of calls are blown dead as unreviewable or a lot of things blatantly ignored that can’t be reviewed.
Not scripted intentionally but it usually works out that way with the superstar calls and treatment and leeway. There are probably 5-6 guys that get that treatment any given season. If the Bears got Watson they’d get the pampered prince treatment too from the refs.

Well obviously Mahomes was drafted much more recently and is currently in the Super Bowl. It's been 16 years since Rodgers was drafted.

The Blazers did get over it.
Because the Bears would of rather had Avellini instead of Montana....we got over it. (this one hurt the worst)

I haven’t heard anybody crying about the 4 that got away. Getting Favre or Rodgers would have changed so much for both teams. I’m over it.
