Speaking solely as a guy who wears the stripes on the weekends, and not a Bears fan in this instance, I think that goal line series was handled correctly by the refs. My guess is they said no touchdown on first down, because it was first down. It's kind of a cop out, but I don't think you can reasonably say the ball was across the goal line before the knee hit. There was just no evidence of it on the replay. If it were any other team than the Bears, my guess is that everybody would agree.
As for the pass on second down, meh - I'd like to see a replay of that again. Third down run, same as first down. In the end, they got the ball in the end zone which is all that matters and in the end the clock was running on first, second, and fourth down. I'll take that any day of the week.
on the first one you could piece together a view of a couple replays and see his elbow was the first to touch the ground...in which case the ball was clearly over the plane. on the second one - i think it was one of those if it had been called a touchdown, it would have not been overruled either. The way i see it Bush scored 3 touchdowns on that series!
