No.....way. :shifty:

Now, does he realize that kind of money is a tad over the top there?...

5yr/60mil is a respectable amount.....cause that's what he worth to the furthest extent. Asking for 10-15 million more is not exactly showing your franchise you wanna be there for the long hall.

It mostly shows he wants to be traded now. :rolling:

When push comes to shove, Noah may very well be worth that $75M. Especially if they can dump Luol Deng's contract. It is definitely expensive though. I'm hoping it doesn't get that high.

I fail to see how one player playing another postion leaving will make Noah's value higher. Boozer got 5/75 in a market where guys were getting huge deals. Noah is not worth that. Its too risky to give him that. We lose nothing by letting him go to rfa. Noah getting near max money is laughable.

jesus crap let him go into restricted free agency. lets match the highest offer. it's not like we're afraid of the of tax anymore. the signing of boozer insured that we're gonna be a luxury tax team. we're only a little under it righ. do so) we're prolly golden by just matching the next highest offer.

lets not let noah develop from an asset to a ba contrac

The tax level for 2010-11 is currently at $70.37 million, the Bulls currently have a payroll of roughly $55 million. So unless there is $15 million-worth of bonuses due to players on the team, they're not a luxury tax team. If they give Noah a huge extension and wish to keep Derrick Rose in the future, then they probably will be, but as of now they aren't.

Acting like ya'll have never seen deal negotiating before. Bulls say 60, Noah asks for 70. They haggle, throw some numbers/perks around, a deal gets done.

Shit. Ain't even nothing to get worked up over.

yah my bad. i meant in the future we will be a tax team. i'm counting on us giving noah an extention of 8-10 million, and rose getting paid.

I wish the Bulls and Noah could agree to 5/50 or 5/55

I wish the Bulls would ship out Joakim Noah and Luol Deng for Carmelo Anthony, but hey, that's just me.

Welcome to being a bulls fan, player negotiations aren't exactly managements strong suit.

Hey, remember when Bulls fans thought that Luol Deng was going to be a top forward in the league, and were totally cool with him getting paid like one? And then remember when Bulls fans thought Deng was going to be a top forward in the league, and didn't want to trade him for Kobe Bryant? How'd all that work out?

In completely unrelated news: remember when Bulls fans thought Joakim Noah was going to be a top big man in the league, and were totally cool with him getting paid like one?

Wait. Hmmmmmm......

It is because working out a deal instead of just trading him can destroy the trade deal if you wind up paying him too much.

The trade that returns more value AND more flexibility than what you loose, clearly the smart move.

DSeng is good when healthy and that's a big WHEN because it seems to never happen. Maybe if the Bulls keep him, he will play healthy and play like he can.

This isn't the right deal, nor is it the right time.

Me saying that^ is not much different than saying 'wahhhh why don't the Bulls make that trade!!!'

It's all a matter of opinion, and I haven't heard that many stupid ones in here. So get over it. I agree to disagree.

No, it's meaningless talk (by all parties) until something is actually signed.

THEN let the bitching/praising commence. Until then, all the 'oh lawdy, lawdy that's just too much, who does he think he is, he isn't that good (revisionist feelings btw)' talk are as worthless as whatever the new 'word' is on what Noah wants/Bulls are offering.

Have something get done first. Then rail against it.

And remember when random fans' opinions were so powerful as to sway Kobe Bryant into saying that if Deng was traded, he wasn't coming?

Yes, how did that all work out.

What now? Actually I don't want to know because it's pointless to me and I hate bringing up shit with you.

you said "dseng" instead of deng

and deng isnt always hurt...although in recent years he has had more injuries which has decreased his production.....however on this chicago team he will be taking somewhat of a lesser role with noah and boozer in the front and the rising leader in rose...whether he gets hurt or not has nothing to do with whether or not he'll be on the bulls
