Even though he's playing at this very moment, already with a double double in only the third quarter against Toronto, Joakim Noah won't be playing for long. Per K.C. Johnson, Noah will have thumb surgery and miss up to 10...

Why? Because fell with his entire weight akwardly on his thumb? Because he had a common foot problem among atheletes that Larry Bird played with for 5 years?

Oden is injury prone. Noah has had some bad breaks.

I don't care if the injuries are common or not...Just wish our stars on our teams wouldn't miss a month every season.

Last season was the worst...Ramirez....Urlacher....Noah....Hossa....last season just kept comin'...

Because it's hurting his play right now and if he has surgery now he can be healthy for the playoffs.

This is fn horseshit man. Why do we have this bad luck? Our best team since MJ and we lost Boozer until a couple weeks ago and now Noah for the next 2 months. Rose is dinged up and going to have to be huge all the time now.... This is devastating news to me. I cant believe it.

I don't think it's the end of the world, during this easy stretch they'll win games Noah or no Noah, they have Gibson and Boozer to start with Asik as backup this year rather than having to go to Chris Richard.

I dont think its that simple. Im not sure how this teams mentality will be without the heart of the team. Sure we got guys to take care of some rebounding but no one does the dirty work like Noah does.... I feel like i just got kicked in the nuts.

Well it's unreasonable to expect asik to stay out of foul trouble, so we're going to be relying heavily on taj at the pf and boozer at the center. I'm not too worried about this. At least noah will get some rest.

i just realized.this means bogans is playing extended minutes, and deng will be playing more at the 4. More than anyone on this team, we need to rest deng. Sadly, it's not gonna happen, unless asik steps up and another wing player steps up.

I really would have liked to see how far we could have extended this win streak to with this schedule. I cant believe this...

Over the top, the team will be fine without its "heart". Their two best players are still out there and they have viable options to fill in for Noah...Noah is not irreplaceable, especially given the schedule over the time he is supposed to be out. I don't think the Bulls are as weak as you make them out to be...

whatever, i think we'll be fine. The next game is against the clippers. Given his speed and athleticism, blake griffin would be a better match up for taj than boozer. He played well as a starter. With all the attention to rose, boozer, deng and korver, taj ought to thrive in that position.
