Boozer is better than Noah. Point blank, no discussion. Importance is different since there are so few real Centers in the league. Time for Asik to step up and sign a guy like Sheed.

I'd like to see the Bulls go after Rasheed Wallace. Even though he is in the youngest of them players. He can really bring a lot intangibles to the table. He can space the floor and shoot the three point ball, and play solid defense when motivated. He had a crappy season last year, but really turned up in the playoffs.

We have to be careful here. If we bring someone old in, like Sheed, you have to ask yourself; Will this guy be able to coach players like Asik, if he can't perform on that high level anymore?

I think people learn from diverse minds, and there is not one set type of personality that makes a good teacher, but if the Bulls interview and try-out Wallace, they need to look past filling the position temporarily, and look to utilize a players knowledge. Thibs knows Sheed's personality well, so if the Bulls don't like him, I wouldn't question the decision.

I agree. Thibs has plenty of experience with how Sheed would act right now and if he doesn't want him, I'm pretty sure we shouldn't want him either. But if he's on board with it, then I'm all for it for now. He'd at least be better than KT/JJ/Scal combined if he puts in effort (which is no guarantee for him, I'm aware).

he really can't shoot the 3 ball. Is he going to be motivated? he was in horrible shape last year, i can't imagine what sort of shape he is in this year.

Is anyone really concerned about asik's defense/ability to guard centers? He's a pretty decent defender, and he's not terrible at help defense either. I'm far more concerned about his offense and fouling. He should give 10-15 minutes of playing. I'd rather go small with jj than go big with either sheed or KT.

I'm sorry, but more PT for Omer Asik and Kurt Thomas are not reasons not to worry. A favorable schedule coupled with the arrival of Boozer? Certainly. Asik and Thomas (and Scal) playing more minutes? Not really.

Lol.
