I really don't see what the issue is.

Rose 38/Watson 10
Brewer 30/Watson 18
Deng 18/Korver 30
Boozer 32/Deng 16
Gibson 30/Asik 18

There you go, a rotation that plays Deng LESS minutes than he's playing now, doesn't play Bogans at all, doesn't require any scrub to leave the bench except in blowouts (which in reality there should still be plenty of, so Bogans/JJ/Scal/Kurt/Lucas the Turd still get to rest the main guys).

Thank God the schedule is uber-soft for the next 2-3 weeks. But once we start playing teams with bigger interiors, it's going to be a real struggle. We have the depth to survive this but I think some people on here are really underestimating how much this is going to hurt not only our D but our rebounding.

IMO it hurts the offense most. Noah's passing/ball handling are an important part of what the Bulls do. Asik and Gibson can fill in defensively reasonably well, and the rebounding was fine without Boozer, who is roughly as good a rebounder as Noah, so I think it'll be fine with Boozer but no Noah.

it will force the bulls to run the pick roll with rose and boozer more often. I think that might be an improvement to some degree. The high pick and roll will look a lot better with rose and boozer, than rose and noah.

If boozer and gibson will be on the floor together, i'm more comfortable with gibson's jumper than i am noah. At least it gives us two bigs that are pretty decent mid range shooters. In spite of noah shooting a good ft%, i always find myself screaming NO! when noah shoots the jumper. Sometimes i'm pleasantly suprised, other times i'm not.

Boozer is a decent passer, so that might alleviate some concerns as well. it seems all the utah guys are pretty decent passers/unselfish players.

From memory Noah was hitting over 50% on the jumper before he injured his thumb. His success rate took a nose dive recently though, I agree it was something we wont miss.

I'm sorry, but more PT for Omer Asik and Kurt Thomas are not reasons not to worry. A favorable schedule coupled with the arrival of Boozer? Certainly. Asik and Thomas (and Scal) playing more minutes? Not really.

Asik needs the PT to develop and this will be a great chance to do just that and get him stronger as a player. He's already a good defender and has a nose for the ball. He just needs to work on his hands getting the ball.

That only comes with playing time.

Taj, Booz, and Asik must step up. I'm expecting Drose to carry this team again til Noah comes back.

Over the top, the team will be fine without its "heart". Their two best players are still out there and they have viable options to fill in for Noah...Noah is not irreplaceable, especially given the schedule over the time he is supposed to be out. I don't think the Bulls are as weak as you make them out to be...

You were saying?

Noah is their second best player. Boozer is the 3rd.

This team is f'd in the A.

whatever, i think we'll be fine. The next game is against the clippers. Given his speed and athleticism, blake griffin would be a better match up for taj than boozer. He played well as a starter. With all the attention to rose, boozer, deng and korver, taj ought to thrive in that position.

How'd that work out?

The Bulls could lose their next 20 games and still win their division, thus getting the 4th seed. Chill.

Taj will learn to play with Boozer and Kurt Thomas will shake off the rust.

I know they can still win the division without Noah, i dont care about that. I wanted this team to have legit contender type season. I wanted them to get 50 wins, handle bad teams and go into the playoffs healthy and a team to be reckoned with. Noahs injury doesnt just affect the C spot, it affects Rose, Boozer and Deng. All guys who have habits of getting dinged up. Rose and Deng were already playing too many minutes as is. Boozer is still trying to get back into the game. Now their plates are overflowing.

In the long run, i dont see this team being fresh enough going into the playoffs. Baring a trade or two, i just dont have faith. Maybe im in the minority here but i feel Noah is undervalued. Its crazy considering how many people here didnt want to trade him for Melo. Now people think we have guys on the roster who can make up for his loss. Boozer got 4 boards...4. Taj just got concussed. Asik was benched down the stretch and i cant feel positive about Kurt Thomas. We already has shooting guard problems. Now we have a post defense problem.

A division crown is nice...in the NFL. I expect more from this team.

You're being overly emotional and superficial.

Being a contender has nothing to do with whether or not you win 50 games. The Rockets won 47 in 1995 and won the title despite their earlier season injuries.

This injury to Noah will only help them get better as a team by the playoffs. Taj will learn to defend the middle as a center will do and will spread the floor for a pick-n-roll game.

The C spot will be all right and Gibson is not a bad option to play more minutes off the bench. Neither is Kurt Thomas who filled in nicely for Bogut last season. Rose, Deng, and Boozer will be perfectly fine.
