rofl, if being a cookie cutter is something to be proud of, then yah, they sure told me!

I was in a bad mood last night (obviously) but generalizing a place as ghetto when you are a walking generalization is hilarious to me.

So it's a win-win :)

I don't hold grudges. So whatever.

Never been to Cali but im sure there is, probably more.

If you want the hottest, go to Austin, Texas.

If you want the ones who will show the most skin, go to South Beach.

If you want the most superficially pretty, go to Beverly Hills.

I'm moving to Cali. :)

Also, generally speaking college or any school you go to will be what you make of it in the end. I know people who went to party schools like SIU that never left their dorms and were by my standard boring and miserable in college. On the flip side the BEST parties and BEST college weekends I had by a long shot were in Dubuque Iowa partying at schools with undergrads of like 2,000 students. Really it comes down to finding a school that you are comfortable with in the important areas(living arrangements, distance from home, education) and the fun will always be there somewhere.

NIU isn't the perfect school. But I'd rate it from my perspective as above average. Undergrad there is like 18,000 students. If you are looking for a big school experience it's really solid. If you are more into the small school experience, it's likely not for you.

Ever party up at Madison? I went to school in Whitewater, WI. Every weekend a few carloads of kids staying on campus would go up there. Good times.

NIU can be pretty fucking ghetto.

Dude on campus when I was there used to ride a bike around with a boom box attached to it. Just called the guy "Bike Guy". He was an engineering major. Sold drugs out of the back of it.

Lulz.

Ghetto as ****.

Fun times also seeing Michael Turner when I was there. He was HUGE....and nailed white bitches on the regular.

Nah. Never been to Madison. I knew a couple people who went to UW-Whitewater. One was a booty call and the other was a girl who my friend dated in HS.

When were you there for school?

Mid-90's.

There were some good-looking girls there in my time. No 9's or 10's but still some decent quality.

Is it true most of the good parties at NIU were on Thursday nights?

I wouldn't say most..but there were some epic ones.

That has to do with the commuters going back to the Chi on the weekends.

Then again i went to some epic Tuesday nighter as well.

I was at NIU in the early 2000's so I didn't have the chance to curse you out at a aparty. :(

It was the same way at UW-Whitewater. The students were mostly from the Milwaukee area, but also a good portion from the Chicago and Rockford areas.

Also, I would've been too drunk to notice or care you were cursing me out. I'm a mellow drunk.

I went to NIU at roughly the same era as you, and I had completely forgotten about stereo bike guy until this post. The nostaglia is so intense I can almost taste the lunch buffet at Great Wall.

There isn't any good pizza place in Dekalb.

You're better off just getting Pagliai's for cheap as ****(sometimes as low as $5 for a large one topping).

Lukulo's does shit right too. Beer nuggets, qusadilla's etc.

After 9 special ftw! Though I agree it was all bad, but when one is drunk it isn't a bad option...

I alwys thought the bar scene in DeKlab kind of sucked. Molly's, Starbusters, etc all kind of sucked and there wasn't a ton of great about them.

I am not a huge bar person to begin with so Lord Stanley's was my venue of choice. I used to live on Ridge St. so I would suffer the crowd at Starbusters because it was walking distance, but I only could tolerate that for about a year before I never went back.

I only went to Starbusters a few times. The last time was basically to start shit with some douchebag because my friends and I were all fucked up and feeling froggy.

No fight..but I did leave with his girlfriend. :smug:
