How do you feel watching the games? More tolerable? Expecting them to start sucking again? Lucky stretch?

I watch baseball because I like baseball. But for the Cubs, I'm just trying to see where they end up in the draft positioning

I like it. I keep saying I don't care about the season after a loss but then I come crawling back the next day...I still like seeing wins.

I'm just glad Garza got a mofo'in win.

Dude had a stretch 4 out of 5 games of going 7 and getting up 2 or less runs and not getting the win.

It seems that at some point folks will finally realize that a pitcher's win/loss record doesn't mean all that much for reasons similar to this.

yeah, well...it's a quick measure for casual fans I guess...but I mean, that stretch was epic.

Can't trade for someone who isn't signed by any team right now AFAIK.

I haven't watched a game in soooo long. I work nights & we currently don't have tv, so it may be a while lol

It makes me feel better for saying this team is better than its record for the first two and half months of the season.

Hello, all.

I'm new to this board and excited to start posting; I've read the topics on here numerous times. The Cubs just are so frustrating this year, and it's not like there's an apparent reason for it. Sure, the lineup is not stacked with all-stars, but there is a good amount of young talent (especially Barney and Castro), mixed with what at least used to be fairly productive veterans ...... really has been a head scratching season.

I'm not just saying this because I am the stereotypical Cubs fan, I say this because I really believe it: I am optimistic about the Cubs' chances next year. We will be more experienced and I really think we'll make a big move in the offseason. As far as the rest of 2011 goes, just keep playing hard and build on something that we can take into next April.
