Obviously getting someone of Melo's stature would be great, but I can not help thinking that the balance of the team we have now would go further than if we had Melo IMO. He would want to dominate the ball alot therefore Boozer would get less touches, D-Rose would also.

He seemed to share pretty well in USA play.

haha right, i saw that thread.

dont worry i wont post that kind of stupid stuff.

But boy did we do a great job of getting all hyped up for James and/or Wade. I feel that this is gonna be taken by us all slightly different. I say that because the Bulls fanbase on here has now already gone through it. So grant it, we would welcome Melo with open arms....but I do not see one person on here totally jumping the gun. We all will just keep the fingers crossed on this one.

Also, yeah this is the dullest month in the off-season, we pretty much wanna read/hear any news about the team.

I think I'm more excited for the pre-season opener against Milwaukee then anything.

October 5th @ Bucks...........same day as NBA 2K11: Michael Jordan Edition comes out!

Talk about a 2-for-1 for Bulls fans uh? Hell Yeah!

:bullbang: :bullbang:

Chicago Bulls, Melo's number one choice?

Per the Jerseychaser blog:According to our source, the Chicago Bulls are Anthony's top choice and for obvious reasons..... The Bulls have had an active summer, and the signing of Carlos Boozer, Ronnie Brewer and Kyle Korver makes them a top...

See couldn't this be an example of something that goes into the already growing Carmelo thread?

I find it interesting that so many Utah Jazz fans put aside their bitter taste from the 97 and 98 finals to gain interest and support the Bulls as their Eastern Conf team.

Mainly because of Boozer, Korver, and Brewer. But Utah hates Melo... so I'm pretty curious to see how that side-story plays out if CA joins us.

Yeah but it's set-up on an RSS Feed. If a mod sees a similiar thread, it should be merged. I'll be sure to let them all know.

When it comes to the Melo speculation, it's basically a gamblers theory.

Have you ever bought a lottery ticket for a dollar? Especially a Big Game or Mega Millions ticket a few days in advance? That might seem like a waste of a few bucks, but that simple one dollar game ends up being hours of entertainment. You dream about how you would spend that money, and in your hand, you now hold some chance that intensifies that dream. It's mere entertainment, and the Melo speculation is not much different. Other than playing on our real life emotions and situations, it plays on our emotions as a fan of the Bulls. As long as people don't fall as hard as they did for the LeBron-a-thon, it's all good clean fun.

Whether or not it happens, we do need to keep an eye out for what happens here. Either a move with Carmelo will give us more competition through some other teams gains, or it will only screw up a few teams, and make the regular season a little bit easier for many fans.

As much fun as it would be to have him on this team....I'm still thinking the FO wont be able to get him. I'm hoping they will of course, no doubt there.

BUT.......hoping most of the time in a situation like this only gets me the losing end haha
(i.e. Wade, LeBron, etc.)

The FO is better off focusing their efforts on getting a player who we have a realistic chance of grabbing...Rudy Fernandez.
