Since the Dream Act is stalled in Congress the President today made a 'policy' decision to not export illegals who came here as children and have no criminal record, which is a nice way to give amnesty without Congressional approval. Not keen on the bypassing of congress, but one thing to consider in all of this is focused on those that came to the US as children. Most likely forced in one way or another. Just something to keep in the back of the mind when considering the whole of this particular policy.

I don't like it but this is a messy problem. I really think the answer is to make the path to citizenship a lot easier so there is a lot more incentive for people to come here legally. Allow the current illegals to apply for this new easy path to citizenship, if they get it they stay if they don;t ship'em out

Either the U.S. is a land of laws or it is not. Continuing to ignore (break) laws will eventually lead to societal breakdown and anarchy. This has been happening for some time and we, as a nation, are already dangerously close to losing more of our individual rights as the government will inevitably be forced to take draconian measures to "secure the peace".



How close is this nation to the tipping point? I don't know, but I fear we inch closer every day.

I saw few Albertans sneaking down from Canada when I drove through Montana a few weeks ago, but I believe they returned home.
