My roommate is straight off the boat from Greece, he is able to get his hands on some octopus and decides to dry it out the Greek island way. So we have this setup in my backyard with an octopus hanging similar to the picture I posted. My young beagle is outside trying his hardest to jump and grab the octopus from the line. It was cracking me up seeing him run across the yard jumping trying to get it. I'm pretty sure he would have eaten it if he actually pulled it down, but then again that dog is a tank and will eat almost anything.

You don't know what you're missing. Grilled, fried, or as sushi... octopus is delicious. This reminds me, there's a Greek festival this weekend, gonna hit that shit up and get me some grilled octopus.

It's old school, but as the saying goes...if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You won't see an octopus prepared this way over here in the states, but if you ever have an opportunity to go over there hit up the islands and find a port town that has the octopus out hanging. You won't be disappointed.

Crete is gorgeous, unfortunately Greece can be an expensive trip...especially with a wife and kids.

Have you ever trolled for wild boar? I mean, not in the open ocean, that would be ridiculous. But like in the Florida swamps? I've heard there are good spots to find boar because they eat a lot of gators and snakes...

lol, serious shit though, I've seen fishermen use pots that look like vases to catch octopus. Then they bring them to shore and beat the octopus on the rocks to tenderize them.

Also, the carcasses make for good shark fishing. Unless you are with the remy clan in which case you just punch them.
