Puttin on the foil, eh?

And apparently using it as a prophilactic (if one follows the context of the thread. ) :D

And since pathological narcissism is rampant on the internet... 58 more posts before I get another award. I'll try to put some sort of content or entertainment (even bad entertainment) value in each one.

Ok, my standard of it - so -oh, skip it :p :D

I have done the occasional IGT - but considering the lag between listening to it on the internet- I end up actually reading on the threads what's happened in the games a good 30 seconds (sometimes more) on the IGT's as opposed to on the WGN broadcast...

also, 5 or 6 posts of "WTF?!" -Tends to be more ... well, I suppose you could say it builds suspense - while at the same time being less than informative.

Interesting, though from a nerd perspective about the streaming lag compared to the nearly no lag in posts ... not something I can do anything with ... but interesting phenomenon nonetheless.

Ok, back on topic of being on topic with hockey but off topic as having nothing to do with the real Chicago Blackhawks... I got about a year ago, the 2009-10 version of Strat-o-matic hockey and have spent the past year ( with intermittent bouts of getting bored with it -which I currently am in) -playing out the 2009-10 Blackhawks' season.

It isn't entirely reliable, as I use "relative" rules with injuries (house rule I should say) -since the AI run teams (all 29 of them) aren't bound by lengthy injuries but rather playing a percentage of games and sitting a guy for the rest, that with a guy like Hossa I manage my players in that manner.

As such I haven't played Bolland hardly at all (preferring to save up his time), I got some html material I will put up on my website- and then talk about things based upon the info generated from I think playing games up into Dec 2009.

Huet/Niemi are splitting time in nets (none of the Quenneville giving the benefit of the doubt to the vet as a default position -but based upon performance).

Had a Stiga back in college.

Sadly (and predictably), it didn't make it back home.

Nothing like playing a 5 game series of 94' on Genesis and having game 5 be played on the Stiga. Those games were battles.

Ok, site page as promised.

Chicago Yearbook

I do play with 4 lines, but I am not that liberal with my specialty teams play as I think they were in reality. In other words, I sort of work my powerplay and penalty killers with an aim towards keeping the regular strength lines as consistent (personnel-wise) as possible, however I decided not to rely on the 3rd or 4th lines for scoring. At this point the 3rd line is being centered by Madden, but ideally it would be Bolland. I play Buff a lot on the top line, and have really no idea what to do with Brouwer so he sort of slots in wherever he can. Usually the 3rd line, but he doesn't have much impact there (as does no one for that matter - especially like Ladd -who sort of ends up being the odd man out -by virtue of there not being an actual 3rd line center -I tried Versteeg there a couple of times, but it really had little impact).

Overall a pretty decent record, with Huet running hot and cold. It seems monthly, for whatever reason.

Edited:

On a side note- I can do a hell of a lot better website- but that was what was generated - it isn''t really a video game -but more like a stats based emulator -been around for a long time - I first played the board version in the 80's -and Blades of Steel would have to still be pretty good to this one by comparison.

I bought a vintage one that was used at a show biz kids entertainment center which is now i guess chucky cheese. the one I have is from the 80's

Think I have seen some new ones on Ebay - however the traditional place might be to have a look in your local phone book for Amuesments, Amuesment supplies, it is also possible that places that sell pool tables might be able to order you one in maybe?

Well, at any rate that is where I would start. Best of luck -and yes- am jealous... :)
