We need him to produce now and next year not when he is thirty so we are fine. By the time we need to see his replacement it should be several drafts of other positions filled. Do you think we like having to reload every position almost every damn year? that is why the good team stay good and the great ones get better. that's why the pats and pack and saints and Seattle didn't need to waste a QB pick every other year. We want to have that philosophy so far so good.
Well no. We need him to produce throughout his rookie contract and hopefully earn a 2nd contract. He is old for a prospect. In the end, I am fine with the pick but there is no point pretending his age is not a concern.
