Where did I say it was okay?

If trading #32 for claypool is the biggest mistake Poles does, this franchise will be just fine. I don't expect him to be perfect.

Maybe you do, but thats because you clearly have brane damage from arguing with Anytime for years.
It sure looks like a pretty big mistake as of now but hopefully Claypool can get his shit straight on and off the field and change that, but he'll need to be pretty damn good to make himself worth #32. I'll take it if he can play even close to what i'd like to see from him.

And you let @Anytime23 run you out of this place until you decided to tuck your tail between your legs and come back begging for forgiveness. I guess it was all that arguing you did with that clown for years that ran you out of here for a while.

Hey look, its a guy who can actually afford PFF and not pretend like he can.
Unfortunately he treats PFF like it's the God for stats.

Maybe i should say he treats PFF stats like they're the God for how good or bad players are.

No, I just took a step back and realized arguing football all day with grown men is childish and a waste of my life.

So you thought it was better to not talk about what you believe in anymore and start jumping in with the groups that go at one person all together? Hmmmmmmmm, great choice.

Recency Bias.

99% of CCS was cunting that we dont have a WR and were happy when we got Claypool.

He might end up sucking balls for us, but I don't think it was a terrible mistake compared to the shit many GM's do in the league. He needed to get fields help because VJJ was a bum
Trades sometimes don't work out and look worse after conditions surrounding the pick change. At the time of the Claypool pick it seemed a reasonable gamble but after the Bears tanked and the pick traded became #32 it looked a lot different. Anyone remember the Gaines Adams trade for a 2nd round pick. Seemed good initially to get a pass rusher coming into his prime. He showed up and didn't put up good numbers and sadly passed away shortly after. Things happen that impact the decision's value so acting as if anyone could foresee it is a little foolish.

Look at Howie Roseman, most say he's the best GM in foozball. But that goober gave us a 4th for the corpse of Robert Quinn.

Dimes to doughnuts Claypool for the 32nd will be better than Jahmyr Gibbs at 12. With what Poles seems to have accomplished in a little over a year, much ado about nothing.
The only thing Poles has managed to do to date is field a 3-14 team. The rest is just pure speculation.

So what have the lions managed to do in your lifetime? Field a perennial loser?
If the Bears show the same turnaround in year 2 as the Lions did, tell me you won't be happy?

If past history is a precursor to future success, because at the moment it is the only argument Bears fans seem to want to make, then why is it not fair to also bring into the conversation of the Bears past history in competent QB play? Same logic.

or

You could just judge both franchises based on

1) Current Ownership
2) Current GM
3) Current coaching staff.
4) Current Roster

Dont really care what you have to say, all I know is the lions are the worst franchise in sports and that isn't up for debate no matter how much you want to.

In other words, you have no logical argument, thanks for the clarification.
Also, let the record show, that once again it is not I that brought the Lions into this conversation, you can thank Ms. Adows for that.

Once again, there is no argument to be had.

You are a "fan" of the worst franchise in sports. That isn't up for debate, its a fact. There is no gray area.

And you are a fan of the worst team in the NFL last year. That is not up for debate. There is no gray area.
Have a nice day.

Actually that is very debatable. They factually had the worst record last season, which ultimately led to turning the #1 overall into a #1 WR, a top 10 pick, another 1st rnd pick, 2 2nd round picks, and a 4thrnd pick.

All this while the Lions pissed away 2 top 20 picks on a 2nd tier RB, and a ILB that only his mom is excited about, the Packers are beginning the Jordan Love era, and Kirk Cousins is still the Vikings QB.

The offseason could not be going any better at the moment.

Which is factually incorrect. They (Lions) got a top tier RB, the best LB in the draft, and what some believe is the best TE.
As for "pissing away", I will choose to believe Brad Holmes, who has been a proven commodity at drafting, over your opinion, any day of the week. "Pissing away" is what happens when you trade the 32nd overall pick for a talent like Claypool, aka Ryan Poles.

Have nice day, and thanks once again for choosing to talk about the Lions.

This is just ignorance!

He is building the team correctly and that is extremely difficult in todays culture of win now or **** off!

Poles is absolutely right in this thinking and if he continues, which until now has shown to stay on this path, this team will not only be a winner but a perennial good to great team.

We will know this year if Fields is the guy and if he is we will sooner than later and if not, Poles’ strategy has out the team in perfect position to remedy that and getting the right QB takes a lot of luck too, so many things have to happen to land one of the greats. Most teams have never had one, they’re rare.

The lions have no doubt built a much better team than they’ve probably ever had but I seriously doubt the skills of your head coach(I may be wrong) and I know for a fact that your qb will prevent you from winning the entire thing in my opinion.

So, I think the Lions success will be short lived. Whereas, I think the Bears future looks extremely right under Poles’ management.

The best of luck to ya!
