I'm not a pickens fan. I think dexter is a much better player and will have more impact immediately and long term
Hell, I hope the Bears are able to develop both of them. I think the upside of Pickens is his ability to push the pocket and has that first step quickness you love to see in a 3T. Downside is that even with his physical ability he never consistently dominated like he probably should have in college. I also don't believe he was used in a way the allowed him to play to his strengths as an interior disrupter at the college level.

Both Dexter and Pickens were almost one man shows on their respective d-lines so they both got a lot of the offense's attention in their gameplan, in the SEC no less. I think Poles and the coaching staff are banking on them making a bigger impact when the blocking isn't scheming almost entirely around them each.
