Tonyan, Tyler Scott, and Roschon are super intriguing additions at three different skill positions. There‘s no way of knowing how they’ll perform but if a couple of these guys look good with flashes of “great,“ that is extremely valuable depth for an offense with prime/unleashed DJ Moore, a hopefully ascending Kmet, and a dangerous/consistent run game of Herbert/Foreman/Fields.

2022 players subtracted from major usage in 2023 and their replacement :

Mustipher/Davis
Borom/Wright
Pettis/Moore
ESB/Claypool
TE2/Tonyan
Montgomery/Foreman,Johnson

Not sure how this can be looked at in any other light than putrid to average or better.

I wouldn't be mentioning the last one. Montgomery is a better all around back than both those guys at the moment but we'll see what Roshon's got. Foreman appears to be a better fit for this offense though as a rusher. Part of Montgomery's absense will also be made up by more carries for Herbert. Better rusher but not as good in the blocking and receiving game.

That said, Moore over Pettis is about as big a jump imaginable. Also add year 3 Justin over year 2 which could be a big improvement too.

You’re overrating Monty for sure. I watched a lot of Foreman last year and the year he took over for Henry in Tennessee. He’s every bit as good if not better than David. Go watch the highlights of him shredding the Lions last year. Monty certainly didn’t have a game like that last season.

Not to mention the D. Granted a lot of it is based on rookie hype but…

Vildor/Stevenson
Watts/Dexter/Billings
Muhammad/Walker
Jones/Pickens (passing downs)

Year 2 Gordon focused solely on NB
Year 2 Brisker

I don’t think the team is headed to the SB anytime soon but it should be at least entertaining and competitive.

Still think pettis gets the final WR spot over VJJ. Both are shit, but pettis is just as fast and actually has made some nice plays in the NFL. If it was a normal rookie Id say VJJ gets the heavy nod, but pettis has been in the league forever now and is only 1.5 years older than velus.

Think you could probably still sneak velus onto the practice squad.

No, instead Poles wisely traded him and recouped a valuable draft pick that turned into another rookie contract.

But you already knew this, you disingenuous lil ****

He legit got rid of Roquan and got back TJ Edwards, Tremaine Edwards, and Gervon Dexter. Great move.

Tonyan I'm pretty certain will perform. You are talking about a proven commodity, who will be taking on linebackers more often than not. I'm excited to see how he opens things up for everyone on offense.

I agree with all of this but I think the final WR spot will be between ESB and Pettis. Pettis will have the edge because he can return punts. I highly doubt they cut VJJ.

1. Moore
2. Claypool
3. Mooney
4. Scott
5. Jones Jr.
6. Pettis/ESB

So you are saying posts comparing Hutch to Shea McClellin never happened?
Posts saying Robinson was better than Hutchinson never happened?
The Bears very own Lance Stone award winner never happened?

Give it a rest.

Remind me about positional value, where was Roquan drafted?
Did he see a second contract with the Bears?

I think you dont understand the difference between trolling and someone being serious.
You just said the above:

Quote them then, then hold those who actually said it responsible, not the guy (@Penny Traitor) who was on your side here. Otherwise it just looks like you've got some delusion you're trying to hold ALL bears fans responsible for.

Or to illustrate the point another way... So you are saying that posts from Lions fans saying Jack Campbell is better than Brian Urlacher never happened? Really?
You forgot to say checkmate.

When the Bears do that with Roquan, it is genius......
When the Lions do it with TJ Hockenson , it is LOLions...........
Got it!!

Still does not change the point I made, clueless lil ****.
The Bears HAVE used top ten 1st round picks on LB's (not 18 like the Lions) Gibbs has the potential to be the best all around RB in this draft, every bit as much as the Bears RT has that ability.

I never said that, and I have recently brought those quotes into the fold, quoting them again seemed repetitive.

Justin is swole. So happy that Pace traded up to get him and wasn't content sitting back and drafting FAT MAC.

Still in disbelief that he lasted outside the top 10. NFL GM's really are stupid people in nice suits.
They are about as accurate as meteorologists.

He’s been the worst passing quarterback in the NFL these last two years. The two players drafted after him are All-Pro level at premium positions, one looks Hall of Fame bound.

On the other hand this lush on the internet thinks Justin Fields has big arms.

I hear ya. I just don't think at this point you can definitively say that he and Roshon are an upgrade. Montgomery is a quality back. I hope they are though.

I had felt Montgomery was much better than his stat, as the OL never seemed to allow him to get going and he still seemed to pound out some tough yards with missed tackles.
Then K Herbert came along and seemed to luck into some big hole carries, which I imagined Montgomery would thrive in.

But as the season wore on the sample size just became to large to deny. DM just doesn't see the holes quickly enough.
