Bears fans laughed when the Lions drafted Sewel.

No way!

Sewel was a great prospect anyone here would have loved to have had a shot at. He just had a frustrating start to his career. Bears fans can sympathize with frustration among first round tackles.

Bears fans laughed when they drafted Hutchinson

Not a chance!

Love that dude and way jelly he is with a division rival. Literally everyone here would take him on the Bear defense.

Might want to pump the brakes until after the season is over.

Let's be real. Our two fanbases are rarely in the smack talking mood in January in recent years or decades or something.

That said, the Lions totally reached in this draft and I absolutely did laugh at the Lions this year.

Feel free to throw it back in my E-face when they both make the Pro Bowl!

I was going to say... I remember some criticism for the Bengals going Chase over Sewell but that's worked out nicely. The only criticism for the Lions would have been taking a right tackle that high but even then, that unwritten rule is going away with Sewell, Neal and now Wright (and McGlinchey too I suppose). Only criticism beyond that was passing on Fields.

I remember laughing at the jags for passing on Hutchinson in favor of Walker and the Lions getting lucky to have him fall into their lap, especially considering he's a Michigan guy. Was hard to fuck up that pick especially in a year where there were no top end QBs.

So you are saying posts comparing Hutch to Shea McClellin never happened?
Posts saying Robinson was better than Hutchinson never happened?
The Bears very own Lance Stone award winner never happened?

Give it a rest.

Remind me about positional value, where was Roquan drafted?
Did he see a second contract with the Bears?

You should try not letting what others say bother you. It's a recipe for unhappiness. ?

Oh, in that case, try not to start by setting up a straw man and then making your potential "debate" partner answer for it. You'll be more productive and maybe not look like someone who's just here to troll. ?
Straw man?
You have me confused with Remy.

You just said the above:

Posts saying Robinson was better than Hutchinson never happened?
Quote them then, then hold those who actually said it responsible, not the guy (@Penny Traitor) who was on your side here. Otherwise it just looks like you've got some delusion you're trying to hold ALL bears fans responsible for.

Or to illustrate the point another way... So you are saying that posts from Lions fans saying Jack Campbell is better than Brian Urlacher never happened? Really?

Oversensitive people can't differentiate razzing from informed discussion.

2021 NFL redraft by Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic:

“3. San Francisco 49ers: Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

Original pick: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State

I still think Lance can be a very good quarterback in this league, and maybe he’d even still be the 49ers’ pick here. It wouldn’t be Wilson, and I don’t think Mac Jones is a fit.

The concerns about whether or not Fields is going to “get there” are overblown, though. He’s had brilliant flashes on an awful team (one that should be better in 2022, mind you) and has improved on a daily basis.”

I believe the 49ers would be the best team in the NFC if they pulled the trigger on Fields. Fields on that roster in year 3 with Shanahan would be amazing.

Can you imagine Fields with Deebo, CMC, Kittle and Aiyuk supported by that defense and o-line?

I can see it and I think Poles can build a team around Justin to give the Bears the same possibilities.

Offensive continuity will be critical. If they take off and Getsy gets poached, they can’t change systems again. It would be a dagger to what they’re building.

If Fields is consistently protected this year, he’s going to have a huge season. He’s too smart and talented to be held in check with the proper support.

DJ Moore, Mooney, Claypool, Kmet, Tonyan, Scott, Herbert, Foreman, Johnson and Jones Jr. is a vastly superior group of weapons compared to what the Bears put on the field last year.

I think the Bears are actually going to score points like a real NFL team and be exciting on offense this year.

I’m ready!

No, instead Poles wisely traded him and recouped a valuable draft pick that turned into another rookie contract.

But you already knew this, you disingenuous lil fuck
