“The Bears didn't have a first-round pick in the 2022 draft, but knowing what we know one year later, a Sports Illustrated writer believes that two of their selections would be chosen in the first round in a "re-draft."
In a “re-draft” of the first round, SI's Gilberto Manzano states that left tackle
Braxton Jonesnow would be picked at No. 19 by the Saints and safety
Jaquan Brisker would be chosen at No. 25 by the Ravens.
Jones was selected by the Bears in the fifth round at No. 168 overall. He joined the No. 1 offense at left tackle during OTAs the first week of June and never relinquished the position. Jones not only started all 17 games as a rookie but was the only Bears player who played every snap in 2022.”
