This can be said about the majority of drafts. Either way there are a good 3-4 teams that desperately need a QB and one of them will overpay to get their guy.

While it's possible that the Bears may struggle to find a trade partner for the #1 overall pick, it's also possible that they will still receive offers from teams looking to trade up. However, if the Bears are unable to make a trade, they will have to make a decision on who to draft with the #1 pick.

In regards to drafting Will Anderson, it's important to consider a number of factors such as Anderson's abilities, skills, and fit within the Bears' system. While Anderson may have impressive stats and accolades, it's also important to consider factors such as his ability to adjust to the NFL game, his character and work ethic, and his ability to complement the current roster.

The Bears should make their decision based on a comprehensive evaluation of all available prospects, taking into account the team's specific needs and goals. The Bears will want to make the best decision for the future of their franchise, and will want to consider all options and potential outcomes.

Two of those teams are picking in a spot where there is a high chance a top QB will be available anyway.

The others would likely have to pony up a huge payment.

As i mentioned I think it’s pretty likely the Bears will get a market or overmarket trade, but nowhere near certain.
Yes and no. Yes they have great draft positions but it doesn’t mean they get the guy they want. In order to get that guy, a team will overspend. And as mentioned by several posters, there are 3-4 teams who might want that top QB.

I don’t think the Bears will have any problem trading out of the #1 spot. It just depends on what they are willing to accept.

In other news, water is wet.
wetness is a relative and subjective concept that depends on the comparison to other things. For example, a person might feel dry after being in the water, but the water itself can still be considered wet.

the term "wet" is used to describe a physical property of an object, such as its ability to adhere to a surface, but it does not have a specific definition. The idea of "wetness" is a human construct, and therefore, it can be subjective and dependent on context.

Potential releases

• QB Mitch Trubisky — With Mason Rudolph all but gone and Kenny Pickett entering his second year with two confirmed concussions, a veteran backup quarterback is needed. But is it needed at $10.63 million, when you are accounting for every penny?

The Steelers could add $8 million in cap space by releasing Trubisky, who has been on the record about not being happy with how things turned out for him last year. To move Trubisky, the Steelers would have to add a quarterback. They could do that with someone like Gardner Minshew, Jacoby Brissett or Andy Dalton — any of the three’s market value could be less than $8 million. But perhaps Pittsburgh would rather keep Trubisky.

How the Steelers could add cap space: Cut Mitch Trubisky or Myles Jack? Extend Cam Heyward?

he has to learn to take quicker options

yes, the deep ball is good. but you cannot live on that only every single play

The truth is, we don't know if Fields can execute a quick pass game cause he's basically never had the chance

The short pass is all of the WRs to find separation right off the line

I mean, imo Fields did show signs of being a bit slow processing after the snap through his first year and much of the second

But it looked to me like he was getting faster by about mid season. But by then, it didn't matter. The WRs were hurt or just shit

Not too many people want a declining 31 year old who can't really separate or threaten the field vertically. Those are the things that Fields likes.
Keenan Allen is very good at separating. He plays in the slot. Now, as far as stretching the field vertically, that would be what Claypool and Money would be freer to do with the underneath occupied by a dude who catches a shit ton of balls and moves the chains. He would be the perfect safety valve for Fields.

I mean, you do know that a thirty year old Allen at 80% is still better than anything we currently have. Mooney at the Y, Claypool the X, Kmet the YTE, and Allen ripping it up at the Z would be awesome.

He did have bit of a footwork issue with the quick WR screens which caused him to be inaccurate (just parroting Dilfer/JT O'Sullivan here) but that's just a technique thing that can be ironed out.

If he were dumb and/or lazy this would be a lasting issue but he seems to be driven, smart and willing to attack his weaknesses to raise his game.

there was a few plays this season where Fields had an option short but held the ball just a little longer trying to wait for that deeper route to get open

thats where he needs to find the happy medium
