Same station made fun of a caller who suggested this a month or so ago before this guys stock blew up.
People need to understand that there is a very real possibility that teams trade up but not all the way to 1. The asking price is much lower and teams could fall in love with QBs other than Bryce Young.

Not saying there is no market for a trade up to 1. But it's possible that Poles does not like the value he is offered and stays put and takes Anderson. Would not be the worst thing in the world but I feel like people here would be very disappointed.
zero chance

His natural spot is slot, right? Makes a whole lot of sense with Mooney and Claypool already manning the spots outside. If JSN is even as good as Amon-Ra St. Brown it's a pick well spent. But as he notes, JSN is more athletic with a better pedigree. Add that Fields loves the kid and played with him, it almost seems like a no-brainer. I remember hearing last year how he was the best receiver on a team that turned out WRs that went 10th and 11th overall.

I wouldn't pay much attention to where the draftniks are putting him. They have some egregious errors compared to reality every single year.

There are so many valuable players we could draft, even setting aside Anderson and Carter. The only thing I want to happen is a trade down, ideally a double trade down. I want more bites of the apple, that's it. I'm trusting Poles and Cunningham to determine which bites to take.

He’s an excellent football player and would form an incredibly nasty right side for the Bears o-line in tandem with Jenkins. I question a system or methodology that eliminates picking this guy.
You shouldn't question the system for linemen. They need a guy that can get out quickly reach the 3-tech to seal off the backside for the zone run cutback. You need a guy that can get to the 2nd level and block LBs or safeties on the front side of zone runs. If an elite talent/athlete can't fit, then you question the system. There's a real thing called putting players in the best position to succeed. Some guys don't transcend scheme. If Jones did transcend scheme, there would be comments about "if he's there when we pick in the 2nd". Because he'd be a consensus top 10 guy....like his teammate, who does transcend scheme.

Why does everyone act like millionaire athlete who have their union and play under a collective bargaining agreement are somehow victims?

You don’t even watch football so I sincerely doubt you possess the mental faculties required to fundamentally understand the nuances of player contracts or collective bargaining.

You just want to be mad at Lamar because he’s a successful black man.

Say Poles trades back to 4 and Levis or Richardson are the last of the 4 left and Washington calls up offering 16, 47, 2024 2nd and Chase Young. Do you take it? Personally I try to squeeze another 3rd this year or 2nd in 2025 but if no dice I take it.
No.............because you are still gambling on Young being healthy.
