Hoping as time stretches on perhaps a reasonable deal can be made for McGary. I like that he's young and seems to at least have the traits that Poles is looking for. Could close a large hole and let us better allocate resources in the draft.

So you think paying Whitehair $10 mil to be a backup is the best idea? I'd rather just cut him and use that money to bring in someone to replace him or start at C or a couple rotational guys for the OL.
I don't know. With Teven's back/injury history its possible Whitehair plays more than we'd think.

Was just going to post this.

Paying RB’s is against my religion.

BUT…. Isn’t he half WR too? I honestly don’t know much about him outside of he’s great in fantasy

27 years old, and last 2 seasons has been a 900+ yard rusher. Last year also had 700+ yards receiving. Crazy.

Edit to this - Combined yards, Rushing and Receiving, have been over 1000 every year since 2018....

the bears are flush with space, its not like they need the money. bring in who exactly that is a scheme fit and can back up all three spots?
Why does it need to be someone that can back up 3 spots? Whitehair can't even do that, shit he already failed at playing center and he's barely hanging on at LG. Lots of players that fit what we need at multiple positions still out there.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more action in day 2 of free agency, both for the Bears and in general.
It’s definitely been slow news today. What the ****

His attraction is his 20 TDs in 2021 and 18 in 2022

Would rather Poles just draft a RB than trading and paying for Ekeler.

I hope Jenkins is over that shit and makes it the full year with nothing serious happening.

Two months from 28. Obviously it would make the Bears better. Just not sure it fits the team timeline. Or what his contract demands are. And compensation. But adding him and DJ would certainly give QB1 some new toys this year.

i didnt say he had to back up 3 spots i said he could. he knows the scheme, isnt mustipher level liability...i'm still waiting on names you think are better and fit this scheme. you say lots of players so start naming them

Not sure the point of trading for Ekeler. Wait until the draft and make a move for one of the backs there. If actually trading for Ekeler, I really hope the Bears are not considering trading anything other than a late round pick.

Prices will be coming down soon and a lot of these guys and their agents will need to readjust their contract targets.

There are still a number of interesting guys out there. I think Poles will bag a few nice bargains and move on to the draft and planning extensions for his own guys.

4th or 5th would be ideal but he likely goes for more than that
