Of course it won’t end. But it will mean Poles
is probably not very good at evaluating WR talent.

Passed on Pickens and Pierce.
VJ looks awful.
Pringle and friends have been useless.
Waste a high second on Claypool. (Not saying it’s wasted yet. Still waiting to see on this one)

Would be a terrible start. Any one or two is excusable. Obviously not every move works.

But if ALL those don’t work? That would be a bad start unless you’re a homer.
So, passing on Pickens has been determined an unforgivable move? Get serious. In addition to all WRs being unproven at draft time, Pickens comes with baggage. Passing should not be considered some huge mistake.

You have decided Velus Jones is never going to be good at this point?

Pringle was a "best option" out there FA signing which won't affect the team's ability to sign others going forward.

You still haven't figured out that major holes in one spot can affect how others look. No pass protection forcing a QB to run will hurt a passing game. Let's wait and see when they put pieces together instead of thinking all pieces should be acquire Day 1 with little draft capital and no $..

And I must say claiming he "wasted a high pick on Claypool" immediately followed by "not saying he wasted a pick" had me shaking my head. That was good stuff.

Brandon Staley is one stupid fucking coach. His preference of using “analytics” will cost him his job as the Chargers will work out a deal to acquire HC Peyton from the Saints. @SilenceS you might just have a 1st rounder this year after all!
Rumblings that he may come back to coach the Saints. People close and stuff.

Bad start for sure. I was commenting on the better work out as if such a bad start would be impossible to overcome. If Claypool fails then we have the money and draft picks to search for another solution in 2024.

No. It would definitely not be impossible to overcome. Sorry if that impression was given.

Just saying if all those in the end don’t work out I’m going to be a little concerned about his WR eval skills.

I don't think the Bears have to fill EVERY hole to be a better team. They're basically Fields and 52 other guys at this point, as no one else has stood out from the bunch, but let's say they get two solid O-Line members, and the TE/WRs don't have to help block as much, maybe that opens to Kmet and Mooney/Clapool even more. You get a few lights out studs on the D line, the secondary suddenly looks far better as they don't have to hold their own without help anymore.

I just don't think it's as bad as some make it out to be. Work has to be done for sure, but no team has 53 pro bowlers, they just have enough difference makers to get by with everyone else. That's why its very important Poles find the right pieces in FA and the draft this next year.

I mean the Bears may be the least talented team in the NFL and they were in almost every game. Now add some real talent. There is no reason this Bears team cannot be doing what the Lions are doing now in 2023.
Multiple OL and DL additions. that's asking to hit on a lot

Do you ever get tired of whining about Bears fans having issues or concerns with what the Bears do or how they play?

Its very early in the Poles regime and i don't see many people acting like he's awful and a finished product but like with everything, your take what info you have at the time and adjust expectations and make note of concerns.

But like you do, you'll probably wait until year 4 to bail and then act like you didn't spend years yelling at everyone who criticized Poles and go right back to doing the same thing with the next GM. That is unless Poles ends up being the guy and for once you'll get to puff your chest out and act like you were right.

dead thread. No one watching the high octane Mac Jones NE Patriots vs the Colt McCardinals?

2min left in the first half and Mac has 83(shout out to 83 Nation) yards and 1 INT. God i love a good pocket passer. Only 1 sack!

Khalil Mack looks cooked
Yeah, he looked that way to me also. He started taking a lot of plays off last year but now it is clear that he's pretty much a 0ne play out of three player if that.

Mac Jones is so bad. Remember all the fucking morons pining for him? LOL.
I was watching the draft with some friends and after Pace traded up, I told them “if this asshole drafts Mac Jones, I’m selling my PSL.”

I wasn’t joking. I was worried Jones drove a nice Camry that he received from his grandmother or aunt.

Also, **** Pace. I can’t imagine how anyone could bring Patrick Mahomes to Halas Hall and then decide Mitchell Trubisky is the guy between the two.

Also , thank you Ryan Pace for drafting Justin Fields. Now go **** yourself!
