Big mistake to trade Mack. He affected offenses on damn near every play he was in for. Regardless of his "stats" he was still playing at a high level while hurt. He had more damn hustle than anyone else on the team and he will be sorely missed. Also...only a 2nd this year? FFS get a 2nd and a 4th this year for a 6x all pro bad ass MF'r . BAD deal IMO.

Bill Belichick "he's just another guy"

How much cap would they gain by trading Quinn?

Well yes but no.

Good trade because we get cap space. Bad trade because we sold low and bought high.

Either way, whatever. Not sure what mack would have done in 2022 anyways. By the time justin is winning us rings mack will be retired.
Poles didn’t buy anything though. He’s just playing the hand he was dealt.

Still sold at the lowest value he had.

Get the logic behind it, just not liking the compensation. It is what it is, not like mack would have made a difference for this team in 2022.

Hopefully poles drafts someone worth it.

Buying high was the mistake in the first place. Two 1st round picks on top of making someone the highest player on D ever(at the time).

Khalil Mack isn't a stock, he's an athlete. Athletes depreciate over time. 31 years old and often injured and under-performing. In what world does someone expect to sell high in this case?

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Nashville Predators
  1. ETSU Buccaneers
  2. Tennessee Volunteers
Mack will have 20 sacks this season and Poles will have Mark Bradley 2.0 at WR sitting the bench his career.

Mack had no value tho. 31 years old. Back to back meh seasons. A hall of fame coach dissing him on national tv and getting offended even for comparing him to LT. He's also coming off major injury.

There are only a handful of teams that can absorb Mack's deal.

Awesome trade!

Crazy how much flexibility a team can have if they dont spend every single season in win now mode like that turd Pace tried doing.
This makes absolutely no sense...lol. Even if we kept Mack, his contract would have been very easy to move off of next season.

Pace should be applauded for the fact we do have alot of cap space next year.

Like I said, it is what it is. I'm not disliking the trade, just don't like selling low.

Whatever, could give a fuck less if this team gives up 50 points a game next year as long as Poles puts some resources on the offensive line and lets Justin set bears records.

:jonesy:

They have a lot of cap space because of how few of Pace's draft picks were worth a second contract.

The only reason we have so much cap space is because the mitch project failed.

This team was pretty much going all out in 2018 and anyone who actually looked at the books knew we were screwed until about 2022-2023 due to bad contracts and gambles pace took.

I'll give him props for having the balls to try to pull off those moves, but dude failed hard on a lot of fronts.
