Agree - it's the right move. Clear some cap, Mack's getting older. Rather get rid of him sooner than later, but a 2nd/6th stings a little lol.
Yeah especially if we eat that cap hit and knowing broncos got more for Miller. But if we aren’t eating the cap hit I guess compensation isn’t that bad

I would have expected Mack to yield closer to what Denver got in the Von Miller trade if not more. Kinda glad they dealt him though. We aren’t competing for the Super Bowl this year, and Mack will only decline with age. Makes me wish they would have moved Hicks and ARob last year for picks since Pace traded them all. Is Quinn next?

Is Mack’s value lower than we think? I’m just trying to understand this return.

If this is the route they're going, then I'm all in as long as they don't half ass the rebuild. Anyone that's not likely to be a good, productive player 2 seasons from now should be on the trade block. Get younger, get draft picks and most importantly, clean the cap situation up so that you can be aggressive when the team is ready to contend.

His stock isn't very high. He coming off an injury where he missed significant time. TRADE HIM FOR ROCKS TO OPEN UP CAP ROOM!!
He still should have gotten as much in return as Von Miller. Mack is better than Von Miller at this point in their careers.

This trade in general is more about freeing up cap space and grabbing another day-1 potential starter with that 2nd round pick. There is a good chance we can grab two WR's in the 2nd round that immediately can contribute for Fields.. and we can use that 6 million in cap towards building the OL in FA.

This trade to me is trading a defensive piece to build the offense. I love it.
