This first quarter has been a perfect example of preseason and why I rarely watch more than a series or two. There have been a lot of sloppy offensive plays.

gibbs with the third stringers??

I happened to hear when I first turned the game on that he's not playing today, weirdly enough. Something about not wanting to subject him to wear and tear. Was surprised he didn't play even a little.

I truly don’t care about a preseason wins/loses. I want good player development. Situational down and distance success rates. Most importantly no significant injuries.
I'd like to see Darnell Wright play more. I'd like to see Gervon Dexter Jr play better than he did last week. I want to see Tyler Scott play well.

There are reasons to watch and care but for the most part you're correct.

So that he eventually has a bad play that you can harp on for weeks?

I could literally see where Gervon reverted back to bad college habits. You could really see his level of comfort mirroring set in. We do have average to good coaching on the dline. That mirroring technique should be able to be coached out. Bad habits do die hard though.

I’m going to be focusing on Darnell and the interior oline with an explicit nod to Ja’tyre Carter and Kramer.
