The fall of JJ's play has very unexpected, it use to be just the opposite. QBs weren't even targeting him because he was ballin. He must be injured and it's affecting his play.
Prob one of the worst bears dlines in recent memory isn’t doing anyone on defense any favors. There is also that cover who defense adjustment he hasn’t made. Tillman almost got benched when he was getting tore up

Yeah he is injured. Looked hobbled running after Kennedy yesterday.

They're likely playing JJ injured because the depth at CB is abyssmal. IIRC JJ came out and there was a holding call on Lamar Jackson which led to a TD. In a lost year, they should just sit JJ. No need to put unnecessary risk/pressure on him when these games mean nothing.

That’s what I’m thinking. He was solid for a long stretch.

One of the things hampering the Bears end of game playcalling is not utilizing Justin as a running threat. It scales back the offense and makes it too easy for the defense to tee off on him.

The Bears had 3 timeouts and could have rolled him more and let him take opportunities where he could run to the sideline. They didn't do it after the designed run right before the 2 minute mark. They simply have to stress the defense at the end of games.

Obviously the line isn't helping him in must pass situations. He's getting less scramble opportunities sitting in a muddy pocket at the end of the game. Lot of room to grow here and he needs to find ways to play through the BS calls and poor WR play. This needs to be a developmental priority the rest of the year.
