Vikings buddy tells me that Bradbury is a trash can. He can’t wait until he’s gone, at least that’s what he said when they played the Bears. I’ll ask him again.
Raiders (and a lot of people here) said the same thing about Leatherwood. Small sample size I know but he looked like the best guy out there last week , in very limited snaps.

If Commanders let him get to FA then you camp out on his lawn before FA starts.
Absolutely. They were willing to spend 13.5Mil/year on Ogunjobi when they had like 24Mil in cap space last year. They have 110Mil, before cuts. There's no team that can compete with what the Bears can offer. DeForest Buckner got 4/84M. I'd open with 5/110 for Payne.

These are based on PFF scores, so take it for what you will. Shows hes only allowed 2 sacks and 4 penalties in 809 snaps, maybe he sucks at run blocking

He's not that good and the guys after him on that top 5 are YUCK. If you aren't getting Pocic, you might as well keep Patrick.

Disagree. Without even looking I know there are some serviceable options (a few stop gaps): ngakoue, davenport, Clowney, watt, ebukam. I think there was a few other interesting names I can't remember. Chubb getting traded and extended was disappointing. But there's clear upgrade options. I'd be fine with short term options to give yourself another draft to find long term answers too.
Clowney and Davenport are more of the run stopping DE’s. They don’t have good pressure rates or PR win rates last I saw. Clowney won’t be expensive and can be paired up with a pass rushing stud like Anderson. Davenport, from what I believe, doesn’t stay healthy. Could be wrong.

Just an FYI, 4 penalties for a C is a lot. According to football database that would be 2nd most for a C. Of course, that site only has him with 2 penalties so who knows?

I also like omenihu. He's always played a rotational role and been decent. I think if you put any of those guys next to payne and Carter they are going to have a better chance at winning in the pass rush. They are also all instant upgrades from what we have right now.

Omenihu is the type of guy I think the Bears would go after. Really strong run defender that can do a little bit in the pass rush. Then I think they'll hopefully draft their big pass rushing DE. Could be Will Anderson at 2 or short trade down, could be in the 2nd round. But I don't see them paying big money for another DE after Mack and Quinn.

I disagree, but do always appreciate your perspective on things. I don't think they will hesitate to spend at edge if the right guy is there. I do think they will absolutely target guys like omenihu, ekubam, Smoot, but also wouldn't be surprised to see them target a more expensive edge rusher too. As realistically they will need 4 new starters on the DL and they may not know who will be available to them to draft. I think they always planned on getting out from under those guys contracts but I think they plan on being competitive next year and to do that they will allot their available resources mostly on the lines, while also trying to get an impact player in the secondary and at wr.

@nc0gnet0 guys these guys dont realize how great Jared Goff is.
According to this he is better than Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Kirk Cousins, j. Herbert, J. Allen, L. Jackson and D. Carr.

But I will take cherry picking stats for $200 Alex!!

Pocic is the guy to get for sure. He, Conklin and Payne would constitute a massive haul and open up several possibilities for the draft.

With the Bears cap situation, it is possible too.

Idk that they can realistically pay payne, Allen, sweat and young all elite DL money and they drafted a guy to be Paynes replacement last year.
Sweat already has a bigger injury. When he hurts again (finger cross that not) he is going cheaper.

But I really really hope we get Payne

I mean most of those guys outside of Allen are having down years. But hiw did he rate relative to Fields?

The thing is guys like Ebukam and Omenihu dont have stats much diffetent than AQM or Gipson last year. So are they really significant upgrades or just playing with much better talent?

Yannick is the only guy I would spend any real money on as he is a proven commodity. Most of the other guys are going to need to be playing with studs which is pretty much the problem we have now.

No GM bats 1.000

And the jury is still out on Velus. Think he's just having a hard time picking up the playbook if he's always being corrected on his motions etc. Thats probably the main reason he doesn't see the field right now

So...........

Lions currently are:

8th in passing yards per game
7th in total yards per game
7th in QBR
6th in points per game.
And have the second fewest sacks

so tell me Remy, just who is responsible for this output?

* admittedly Goff is not a RB

Anytime someone opens with “xyz team buddy” I automatically think of all the “Bears buddies” I have that are freaking morons…. And realize “xyz team buddy” likely is the same.

(My apologies if your buddy is actually NOT a moron, it’s a general comment)
