It's possible Pace gave the Bears their current 2 best players in that 2021 draft, Fields and Jenkins. And he got it the same reckless way he handled the draft every year, by trading up to get them.

He was a full participant in practice all week with this same back injury. Makes no sense. Why would he be out there at practice and then not play?

I'm almost inclined to just start Nathan Peterman at this point. He has almost nothing to gain from being out there throwing to glorified practice squad receivers. I wouldn't be surprised if he threw 3 picks today unless they can run it almost 50 times.

Unless these guys are just running the wrong routes there’s no excuse to throw 3 picks. I’m guessing we’ll see a ton of runs and maybe more Monty out of the backfield. Heavy dose of Monty/Kmet/Pringle with a couple deep shots to ESB

Who knows. Fields leads the league in INT % by quite a bit, and this current predicament makes it even more difficult for him.

I think you're right about the gameplan, though. They have to hope they can run just enough to keep the pass attempts down, and then, if he has to throw, use Kmet and Pringle as much as possible in the short/intermediate game.
