LOL, Reoccurring back inquires are a different matter altogether, but, you will see soon enough.....

Maybe they are but Vaiti is a fat ass that tore up his knee. No guarantee he comes back as good as he was previously which again wasnt as good as Jenkins has played.

Hmmm, Poles is going to have to pay someone. You could say the same thing about Mooney but replace ball production with the fact he is coming off an injury (not sure how serious it is)

With the Cap space the team has, getting a few of the better young players on the roster signed wouldn't be a bad thing, would it?
Depends on the contract. JJ has been solid but not really that great.

No, I get that, but they need to spend cash on that cap.
They do. They also need to be strategic and careful. Since it is a weak FA class overall, I’m hoping most of the deals Poles hands out are shorter with little to no GTD money after year 2. I’d also look to extend Mooney before JJ. He could possibly be cheaper coming off an injury and has a good relationship with Fields.

If that injury has affected his speed in anyway it's just as dangerous as I already said.

Both probably deserve a second contract with the Bears, but that isn't saying a lot with the bar set so low.

Right he’d need to check out medically before hand. It’d be nice to have them both back, but I don’t think JJ gets extended quite yet. Flus has been very vocal about valuing ball production and JJ is lacking there.

Honestly, JJ would be better off in a different scheme. This isn’t the ideal scheme for him, even though he was pretty good when he was healthy. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him moved this off-season albeit unlikely though.

Agreed. Not sure what they’d be able to get for him but he’s definitely more of a man corner than zone

Man corners typically fetch a lot more in trades but he’s at his low point right now since he was oft-injured this year and sometimes when he did play, his production was mediocre because he wasn’t 100%.

If you can get a 2nd for JJ then I make that trade. He is not a true shutdown CB and dont need to spend a ton of money for a Cover 2 CB that doesnt get turnovers. Hell I would trade him for Adams straight up.

Unless Mooney is signing for 10-12m you let him play out the year.

Bears should sign Mooney to have continuity on offense. It takes time to establish chemistry. I think Mooney deserves about 15 million a year.

If the Bears could get a 2nd for JJ I would pull the trigger. Then perhaps sign Jamel Dean in FA

I think Dean is risky too, amd I missing something in his stats that perhaps don't match his play on the field. I think creating holes to then have to fill them .... Might as well keep him around (JJ) and look to build the rest of the team, then look to upgrade.
