Yeah well Velus Jones reminds me of Josh Cribbs extra lite
Love this idea. Need to get weapons period. It's probably not going to be another TE. Due to lack of options it may not be a WR. But you can't run Fields out here with the same group + a 2nd round WR. Get a RB. Barkley, Jacobs or Pollard if you want to go big. Jahmyr Gibbs early in the draft. If you gotta throw to a RB 70 times to get the offense up to par, then that's what you need to do.The only reason why I think it is more likely that the Bears target a starting RB than a starting WR is that Getsy went for a fullback. This team runs 21 personnel frequently and succeeds with it. Even if Fields becomes the next Aaron Rodgers, his offense will still identify as one that runs to open up the pass, chew up clock, and limit the defenses chances to get at the quarterback.
Getting the best RB possible just seems like a stronger choice in this regard, but I cant possibly dismiss the idea of getting a WR in the first round. Who cares if they are a slot or or wide receiver; if they get yards and touchdowns, the receiver will see the field and help win games. Let Claypool be a move receiver to switch between the slot and outside to get good matchups, anything that keeps players like Pettis from ending drives early.
Couple thoughts here after watching that.
More money, more draft picks=more problemsCouple thoughts here after watching that.
1. Scout School with Ryan Poles after a 3 win season seems like an oxymoron. Would be like having a guy who just got a DUI teach a driving class. I know, outside factors for Poles but still made me lol.
2. Was cool to learn/see/hear about their process a bit and how they use some of the analytics.
3. It's a bit scary that Velus Jones was ranked 3rd on the team for their 'A' analysis
Dude with worst roster in NFL teaches children how to build a nfl roster.Couple thoughts here after watching that.
