Guys, i have a legit source that no one else has access to that says "It's over. Total change. Phillips stepping down sounds like, Or taking a lesser role."

I asked undisclosed source if that means Pace is out as well. They responded "Yep. Think Pace is gone."

Stay tuned!
“Think” pffttt

If Pace stays, I don’t believe what they said about people not being attracted to come. Who the **** is not going to jump on a GM role and HC position?

You dont have to believe it. Just believe what you want.

Must have GM in place before coach though. Here's hoping they have someone in mind, that is interested. ASAP. Bears could finally land a GM and have no coaches left to pick from.

I completely agree with this but was surprised to find out that it happens the other way around. Seems bass ackwards.

I don't remember how Emory, Pace, Angelo, or Hatley ever did it. I guess I remember Fox being pretty resentful that he got fired. He mentioned something to the effect that "watch Nagy jave success with the team I built"
Seems like any coach not picked by new GM is an instant lame duck?

After the Raiders' win last night to get into the playoffs, with all they've gone through this year, there ain't no way in hell Rich Bisaccia doesn't get the "interim" tag taken off, right? I guess unless Harbaugh falls into their lap?

I'm not thinking Bisaccia is some great coach, but I feel like this is the way these organizations work. If the interim does really well, hey, less turmoil for the organization.

I don’t understand the phrase “unless Harbaugh falls into their lap”. Hartke is available to any NFL team that wants to hire him if he will agree to take the job. It’s not like the draft.

Maybe the 5-4 interim guy keeps the job. But if you’re in Las Vegas fan and Harbaugh is interested and you’re having visions of him also bringing Fangio, what’s your feeling on the ownership retaining the interim dude because they won the overtime game? If you were a fan of that franchise would you be happy with that decision?

Do you think this is a must? At the end of the day, who is more important, the coach or the GM?
